it's sad the there are so many layoffs in the games industry right now. i hope they all find jobs soon. its rough in this job environment.

@twentymooseman true, but the problem is the entire industry is built off knockoffs. True there is a fine line between how much you can copy, but until Zynga I'd argue the industry did a pretty good job of policing itself without crossing the line. I find it awful what Zynga did to Tiny Towers, but at the same time if TT is a better game people will play it. I think they need to innovate and do something new.

It's time for the games industry to just grow up. Instead of suing each other I've got an idea... make games that people play! I know, novel concept right?

Who cares if it's a knock off? If your game is better people will play it. And EA knocks off other games as well. It is what the industry is founded on; improving on other people's work.

At least they're giving money from the proceeds to the actual soldiers.
