Triple A games have gotten shallower and shallower with more of a focus on recurrent user spending. I like the reward of having to earn or find stuff in games not having to pay for it. If I'm walled off from content unless I pay up it just kills the experience. I still haven't come to terms with dlc let alone microtransactions. I haven't been playing much the last few years. Game companies have been focusing more on casual gamers then the core gamer. Games have become too easy and hold your hand too much. Gaming is bigger then ever and most games seem to be all about presentation with flashy trailers then actual substance. They want your money before the game even comes out. Games are treated as disposable media that once you play them you throw them out. Take call of duty for example. Every year they release the same shit just with a new coat of paint. Activision expects you to play it then toss it aside for the new one. At this point the novelty of online gaming has worn off for me. I'm at a point I hate anything to do with connecting my gaming online.

Jim Sterling I like hearing him rant about the bullshit in the industry. Same with YongYea. I use to like watching Yukaslegion play Dark Souls.

I've been a huge nintendo fan since the 80's. That being said I was in my 20's when smash bros and pokemon came out. I never got into either series.

My earliest memory of playing video games was around 1981. I use to beg my mom for quarters to play arcade games at the laundry mat. My favorite gen was the 16 bit era. My least favorite is this generation. I'm sick of the over monetization of content. Game companies are nickle and diming us on everything.

Some people over on gamefaqs have gotten early copies. They're saying Leons campaign is only 5 hours long. Kind of a bummer to me. Resident evil 4 was 15 to 20 hours long. I'm getting sick of these game companies shafting us on content.

I definitely have online shooter fatigue and open world fatigue. I don't enjoy online gaming interactions at all. I was sick of cod and assassin creed last gen. I'm sick of open world games are full of useless content that don't respect my time.

I like gaming experiences that are shorter with more quality content. Shoveling pig shit in red dead isn't my idea of quality content. Finding stupid shit to cook in Zelda isn't my idea of quality content. Spending 100 hours wondering around a mostly empty world isn't my idea of fun.

I'm sick of playing online shooters with people that are counter productive to everything I'm doing. I'm just sick of anything multiplayer period.
