Pull the whole game for plagiarism and be done with it. My god, what is the fuss about this game? It essentially could be a mode in any game and doesn't need to be made into a full game of its own. Not to mention the garbage about netflix wanting a piece. Crappy graphics and all. Why these guys have your money I will never understand. Player Unknown will forever be unknown to me.
I'm pretty sure Rockstar just re-released LA Noire. They certainly think there is money to be made and that game is the straightest of linear games this world has seen in the last decade. So this stigma against the single player games is probably nothing more than money grubbing game developers trying to justify frankly immoral development practices. A long time ago but of course not in a galaxy far away (zing EA and curse you endlessly), the selling point to a game for developers was how cool and creative their games were among other things. The thinking was that the really cool concepts will sell the games themselves. I do not believe this game would have been essentially remade if we were back ten years ago or even five years ago.
I see video games as a new medium for storytelling. A movie for the interactive where you with the joystick control the narrative. A never ending source of creativity. Development to me can be considered an art form. So when I hear of these money grubbing game developers who can no longer help themselves from skinning the masses, I cannot be alone in thinking these people have forgotten their roots. Those people should talk to the AA developers reporting they remortgaged their home and struggled so hard then finished the game and are now in the money. Were those people thinking about putting in microtransactions so you can buy the second half of the game you already paid full price for? Or were they just looking to make a game good enough that they will survive making it? With those questions asked i give the Cuphead review and the Star Wars Battlefront 2 review side by side and rest my case.
Pre-orders sold out fast because they are pulling a Nintendo Switch and short baking the hell out of it in an needless effort of boosting demand. To be sure, the masses will be seeing a lot more of that for all consoles moving forward. Got your pre-order for PS5? Your gonna need it ladies and gentlemen. This is the new norm. Gamers...are u impressed?
@senorbusyman: and while I'm glad u had a very good time at e3 I live in Canada and am almost a country and a half away. So like many MANY people unlike you I have no choice but to watch. Believe me I'd have loved to attend but I have a job to do. But that doesn't make my opinion not matter. This is a forum you fool. Opinions matter here otherwise there wouldn't be a place for comments.. Yours matters, theirs matter, and so does mine. So maybe take less personal offense. Especially since not everyone is so privileged as you. Im sure maybe 80% of us did not attend this year and a smaller percentage maybe never have and even slimmer never will.
I stand corrected. I made a post about Take 2 not even showing up to E3. I was mistaken they had a showing at E3. Mafia looked great...so it was a dismal showing. 3 words Take 2 : RED DEAD REDEMPTION!!!!!
Last e3 was excellent and well worth all the hype. So many games from that show turned out to be hits. This e3 was one I was expecting much of the same. Giant letdown...
Lets just get this out of the way now. Take 2 saying they will be at e3 in "a BIG way" was all the hype I needed. I am a longtime GTA fan played every one barring none. So this to me was screaming Red Dead 2, GTA, and maybe another similar iteration that we would all come to love when released as we ALWAYS do. Not only did they not even show up, Take 2 as a whole didn't show up. No Gearbox (I would hide too if i made Battleborn), no VC NBA pre-vis, not a damn thing. I mean Bethesda did what I expected they had their time last year so it was no surprise they weren't too strong. While Nintendo had the real showstopper in the new Zelda game, I thought they could have shown more for a game in development for as long as it has been. Microsoft came to e3 to show us time and time again how they are simply out to have our money showcasing 2 obviously expensive, and new consoles (sort of...) Sony came to e3 to try and save their dying brand of independent titles by breathing old life into new consoles which may be a good move considering they're best games now have a horrible pattern of being delayed for months on end. They probably had the best showing aside from Nintendo. One saving grace this e3 is that we were not subjected to yet another poorly made Assassin's Creed game. Ubisoft said they were taking some time for that. Good that we have at least one major company doing what they actually said.
Overall, this was a poor showing at E3 and those expecting what we got last year were sorely disappointed. I went in expecting less and still got disappointed. Oh well there are other shows.
How can you keep a franchise living for 30 damn years after you've taken away it's heart. It wasn't just a First Person Shooter. IT WAS A PARTY GAME PEOPLE!!!! No split screen multiplayer makes this no different than that Call of Duty drekk these morons a trying to shove down our throats every freakin year at 80 bucks a piece. Yeah great it makes money but we have thousands of them and none like the previous Halo games. Wake up 343 your job was to keep the dream going and make halo games. This is not that I assure you.
I remember most of my years through high school being basically hand in hand with the halo franchise. A few close knit friends and myself would hit up the town (garbage dump of a town such as it is), watch movies, then they would all come back to my house and we would play Halo. I swear we could kill hours like they were minutes. Some of the most fun I had had playing video games ever and I have been playing for some 24 years or more even still. This is not an isolated story many of us some of us here have been there. It's what made Halo better than the rest and by far. I believe it was its heart truly. What good is a franchise without its heart? Giving up all its been for a more isolated experience? How many of you would rather they delayed until they cracked it? Upvote this if im right.
Somebody wanna get these people a Super Nintendo or to lesser extent a Playstation? 2 Words... Chrono Trigger!!!! The only game in its time that had 25 different endings. The game had a story line that rivals many of them today. It is considered by many to be the bast RPG of all time. Though many would say FF7. I have no problem with remakes of games 10-15 years old. If the creators of that game had that power then they would have done it. Times got better for the video games. It isn't taking away from the classic if you still get to play it. LET THEM REMAKE THEM ALL. You'll buy it or not but they'll make their money because someone else will buy it. It's an opportunity to fix mistakes or make them, to satisfy fans or disappoint them, and above all MAKE MORE MONEY. You got my vote Square-Enix. Let money grubbing begin!!!!
