If by "Polish" you mean "The game is not even close to a finished product so we will be giving radio silence while we CRUNCH HARD so we don't get cancel dummies pitching a tent in our office" then I believe you.

Ok, so this transphobic stands to profit from this game. Did you know that a slew of pedophiles and child groomers stand to profit from every Disney movie and Disney + series that you watch? WAY more than the money made here...BILLIONS more. Oh, but don't pitch a tent for that cancel dummies. Instead, attempt to destroy a studio whose only crime is making the game they wanted to make about something quite popular (and lucrative) that hasn't really been done in that way before. It was ambitious and honestly they didn't do a terrible job of it for a first go.

Another note : I do not like the source material at all. Not because of transphobic remarks made by its author but because it simply isn't my cup of tea. I read all of the books before I decided that.

I think VG news sites like yourselves should take a stand against such things and stand with the developers that give you the stories you write to make money.

Is that news or is that a video game studio making video games? Aren't they supposed to do that? I mean now everyone's making a total bungling of it but does that mean we must now sing praise for a job being done as it is supposed to be done. I think not...talk about setting the bar low.

That said, I didn't know this was a thing and am very happy to hear of it. They'll do a good job like they mostly do.

The answer is who cares your still going to screw it up no matter what he's wearing and no matter what you are doing. You have neither a Batman nor a Superman which is what all the work is built upon in your cinematic universe. Pretty wack yeah??? Fix that then worry about what these fools will wear.

Of course the company is struggling. Far Cry 6 was their best recent work and it wasn't bad but certainly not game of the year. They have been working on skull and bones forever. Paying out wages while no money is coming in at all. Just Dance got stale like all those kind of games do. Mario Rabbids was a good idea but should have only been a one off to try to make a franchise from it was madness. The gameplay got stale midway through the first one. Neither of those offerings gave a big enough stop gap to compensate for the delays which appear to be endless.

Trouble is I don't see demands like these playing out well with current industry timetables. 4 day weeks would be sweet but they'll have to crunch to get games out on time and I don't see how they're not back to square one there. But they don't wanna do crunch so they'll eat delays. 10% raise across the board is also sweet. But with no money coming in on account of the endless delays your 4 day week schedules will cost the company, they will soon declare bankruptcy or be bought out by someone and then negotiations begin anew. They should just settle for cleaning the scummy managerial practices out and for transparency which would help said cleaning of scum. The work schedule is the nature of the beast they chose to ride and the sooner they accept that the better. There has always been crunch, and has always been for a reason. The game gets finished, it gets tested, they find bugs that break the game, and they have to fix them and polish it off which can take longer than expected. Oversimplified but still...
