I don't understand why they're keeping the initial sale price under wraps? Oh no Nin tendo, please don't reveal your secret data to the paying consumer. The only thng I can think of is because Sony and Microsoft might counter their sales price but I couldn't see this selling for less than 300 anyways.
@Cronicx- Obviously from your replies you're against PC gaming, most likely due to the cost aspect. A 3 year old PC at this point is still going to look way better than consoles; hell my 3 year old laptop runs circles around the 360. You don't need to upgrade every year but every few if wanted. Once a console comes out that's it, nothing else for several years. PC gaming is not expensive as you think and in the long run the benefits are much better. When the next consoles come out they're going to cost roughly the same as a mid range PC anyways. You can buy a high end graphics card now for the same cost as a 360 and it's going to look 10 times better.
But the games are so much cheaper on PC, I just paid 5 bucks recently on Amazon for ME2. I believe in the long run, especially if you're a serious gamer, it ends up costing less on the PC.
Developers think ahead, a couple years from now this technology will be a lot more affordable. The enthusiasts always jump on the bandwagon early and everyone else jumps on soon after; they need to promote to everyone.
