@TomMcShea @arrow2thekneeXD Which is why it's odd that your score is so markedly lower than theirs. I would agree that there's much more to a review than a score and reading your review I was still able to figure out what you did and didn't like about the game and determine that I would still enjoy the game. And it would be nice if most people could do that, or had the time to do that, but I don't think they do. So it just seems a little irresponsible to be so cavalier with a game score. Just my two cents. :/

OMG I love that they included the roley-poley guys from the center of the earth from that one episode in the show where Scrooge winds up getting trapped deep underground! Those guys were NOT in the original game as far as I can remember, and they were only in a single episode of the show. That's just like, a super specific reference/character inclusion-- so cool! :P

@BLaverock Loved reading about your memories playing wolf 3d. :) I too have very fond memories of playing wolf 3d as a child.

Shucks, was hoping this would finally be as good as a sequel to Vampire Bloodlines. :( So tired of waiting for another good vampire game to come out :(

Suda 51 would definitely be considered one of the leaders of the "surrealist movement" in video games if there was one. Love his games and style.

@Redsyrup EXACTLY. 100%.

@YukoAsho Nope, he was just calling it as it is. I mean, James Bond and English breakfast tea are cool and all, but I don't really want some crooked-tooth Brit in my zombie game :P ...I say that only half-jokingly lol. It may sound harsh, but I think redsyrup is right when he says a lot of Americans are somewhat hostile to foreign influence. I don't *actually* dislike brits, but having the british royal guard on the cover is not that appealing to me

I give up! People hate LSL in the modern, non-Al Lowe incarnations and contrast those games to the "glory" of o.g. LSL games and express an interest in an old-school type LSL game instead. And then Al Lowe comes and remakes this amazing game (which was one of the earliest games I played as an impressionable young kid lol) and people crap on it anyway. I don't get you people. Can we just agree that, similarly to the Duke Nukem franchise, the world doesn't actually "like" Leisure Suit Larry games?- they just pretend to and speak about some mythical "glory days" of the franchise. That way they can leave those of us who actually find these games funny and enjoyable alone...

Too bad there's a score attached to this review. The review actually gives a pretty good idea of what to expect in the game- things that should appeal to those of us who like older adventure games and LSL games, but that might not appeal to others. A lot more is left up to reader opinion/tastes in the review. But that score is pretty damaging and doesn't seem all that representative of the actual review. :(

@masa2009 dude, Ceville was a good game, but it was buggy as all hell! Just for the insane amount of times that game crashed on me, I don't think I'd be able to score it higher than a 6.5. excellent game and fun too, but the bugs made me want to shoot myself.
I get what you're *trying* to say, but Ceville was the wrong game to use here
