i dont know why this is news all of a sudden. when GT5 was released they said they where already working on GT6. the ps4 was just a speck on the drawing board at that point. so theyve spent at least 3 years making this title specifically for the ps3. the ps3 has 60? 70? million of users, it would be great as a ps4 launch title but realistically if they want the sales then it has to be for the ps3. it would just be too expensive for them to ditch all those years of work just for a ps4 exclusive.
noones said that there wont also be a ps4 release. just because its for the ps3 doesnt exclude the ps4 so hopefully theyve got time to do a ps4 version too. i doubt it will be a launch title though.
@Devil_wings00 noone said they werent going to release it on ps4 as well... just that it was a ps3 title. i think they will do a ps4 version, if theyve got any sense they will!
always loved playing the Dark alliance/baldurs gate/champion of norrath style games on ps2. really missed them on the ps3. tried the demo of this on my pc and quite enjoyed it so looking forward to a ps3/ps4 version.
the new list is far more impressive than the first list. its still early days though, its by no means a final list. im sure there will be more european developers by the time the ps4 comes out. i doubt we will see a ps4 in europe before next february if the previous launches are anything to go by...
the team sizes shouldnt be any bigger than now, maybe smaller since the new consoles use pc style components. it should make their life much easier. the teams certainly shouldnt be any bigger than what they have for a current pc game. sony, nintendo and microsoft have just done all the games developers a massive favour and saved them a stack of money.
@820west @djb1203 i think for menu selection it would be very usefull. the more i think of it the more i think its a shame they didnt put it lower. if it was below the right thumb stick it would of been easier to use during games as an alternative to the stick. but maybe when ive held one it might be easier to reach than it looks.
i got a suspicion the touch pad will end up like the sixaxis motion inside the original ps3 controller. how many people ever use that?? lol. a couple games made half an attempt at using it but it just fizzled out into obscurity. i bet most people forget that the controllers even have built in motion sensing.
i could see it being usefull as an alternative to a mouse, for browsing etc. it would be a lot quicker than using the stick. i wonder how usefull it would be in an FPS game...there might be some potential after all..
@flammable_zeus @biggest_loser @rudyv30 how? Keyboard has four keys for general movement. Controller has analogue stick with 360 degree movement and in a decent game movement speed relates to how far u push the stick. So theres far more precision and control compared to keys. Considering u spend more time moving compared to looking around it outwieghs the slight gain of having mouse control. A kb/mouse user just isnt used to a controller so it seems strange to them and they find it less accurate. Someone whos used one for years will find it second nature. I use xpadder to add controller support to games and play against mouse users online and i get just as many headshots as they do. The most accurate control method is the one youre used too and most comfortable with.
great graphics dont necessarily make a good game (although they do help lol) id rather have a game with a great storyline than a dull lifeless game with fantastic graphics...if the gameplay is as good as people say then the toned down graphics for us console players wont be a problem..
