Anyone know if the wii version will have open world as well? I do not have a ps3 or xbox. I wonder how the wii will handle all of the enemies on screen at once?

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer. And yes, my ps2 failure was indeed disc read error. I read somewhere where the ps3 uses quite a bit of power to run movies and programs, so that would make sense for it to run just as hot. The power was something like 4-5x what a standard bluray player uses to play movies.
Thanks again.
Anyone else with personal experience on slim/superslim?
Wanting to purchase a PS3 for Last of Us, Uncharted, Nba 2k13, and maybe CODBLOPS 2. My experience with Sony consoles has not been overly positive. I have owned many consoles going back to the Atari 2600, and they all are still in working condidtion, except for my 2 psones, Dreamcast, and PS2. Those all failed on me, but I know others who have had great luck with PS2 especially. I have played a Slim version and must admit it does get really hot. I have also seen it shut down due to heat on a few occasions. According to Endless Electronics. org , the Slim actually runs hotter than the original, and 20-30% of their repair business is now PS3 Slim models. That does not make me feel better about my purchase.
Does anyone have a new model yet? I have read several reviews, and not one of them have mentioned whether it runs any cooler. Not sure if they shrunk the CPU/GPU again or if 45nm is the smallest available. I am not a huge fan of the aesthetics of the new machine, but if it runs cooler and will last longer, then okay.
One last question, do the ps3 systems get as hot running netflix and/or DVD/Blu Ray movies?
Thanks in advance.
Oh, I thought Spark Unlimited was with LA at the Comic Con. Sorry. Spark is who is supposed to be developing BF3 now. I guess I just assumed since LA didn't announce it at E3 nor at their show yesterday, all hope was lost.
The demo you are referring to is the one that was developed by Free Radical Design...the company that was bought out by Crytek. It was indeed an awesome sight, but the videos were pulled for awhile. They may be back up on youtube now though. According to an interview with a Free Radical employee, the engine is not going to be used for BF3 now...unfortunately.
