Complete waste of time. Spent 2 years not making any progress towards my degree beyond just gen eds and calculus (which was only a small fraction of the math I needed).

It all depends on your major though. The community college I went to didn't offer any computer science classes, so I had to do all of them start to finish after transferring.

They used to have Andrew Park, Ricardo Torres, and Bob Colayco back in the day. It's not like they're actively seeking white-only applicants. And they used to have Bethany Something, Carrie Gouskos, and they now have Caroline Petit. So they've had several women as well.

I'm working as an intern (web developer) now while finishing my last semester of school. I've learned more in the last 4 months than pretty much my entire computer science education.

They offered me a full time job after I graduate, but the salary they offered is really low for this field. They don't have much of a budget either, so I can't negotiate for a higher salary. Too bad because I really enjoy it.

C# will be a breeze if you're already experienced with programming. I would get the combination book because anything you need to know about C# specifically is a simple google search away. I think it would be more beneficial to see how the two things work together than just how C# works.

My apartment furnishes doubles and I have a twin at my parents' house.

I'll never have a twin again now that I've had something bigger. I hate sleeping on it when I go home on holidays.

Nothing. My first paycheck was probably only like 80 dollars when I was a teenager starting a minimum wage job.

First paycheck I get from my first big-boy job will likely be spent on new apartment stuff because presumably I will have just moved.

California State schools run only about $8,000 a year, including books. Not that expensive.

That's cheaper than Michigan. I would have expected California to cost almost double.

You're fucking up if you're paying 35k a year for college. Tuition here is only 12k/year, not including costs of living (which I pay for by having a job + having parents who still pay for my car insurance and cell phone plan luckily). When I graduate, I will have a $22k loan to pay back, no more than a new car payment.

Are you people still bitching about the redesign?

Don't you think it's time to move on?
