@GreenNinjaN I agree, Nintendo needs to catch up with the times with their hardware. The thing is, Sony and Microsoft made their consoles to last longer than 5 short years, despite them having to make a few upgraded models in the process. It's the hardware, the stuff inside the consoles, that really will determine how long a console will last. In all honesty, I think the Wii is just a GameCube with internet and motion controls :S
Christian-themed video games are usually cheesy to begin with. Example: 'Catachumen' for the PC in the late 90s; you couldn't kill the Roman soldiers (who were the 'bad guys') but rather, you shot beams from your sword at them, in which case they would instantly kneel down in hallowed submission unto the Lord. Here's the deal: I don't care if you're Christian or not. If you're a mechanic and you can fix my car, then you're hired. People don't care what faith you are, as long as you can give them a quality product (books, music, video games, etc.) that's all that matters. Values should come from within the story of the game, not be blatantly stated like that slogan Cactus Games used for their 'Saints of Virtue' game back in the late 90s: 'Finally, a cool computer game for Christians!' Oh, yay! *claps hands*
@Chilloutcolin Yeah, I watched a 40 minute recording of the gameplay on 'lo-ping.org'. Just google 'skyrim gameplay' and you'll see it not far down the list.
Why isn't the 3DS version announced? Oh well, it'll probably be sucky like Thor and Green Lantern anyway... great music though. Bill Brown... catchy name.
@plaintomato I sure hope Nintendo does change the controller design like you suggested, because personally, I think it looks like an iPad with PSVita buttons. Nothing against tablets or anything, but Nintendo should make a controller like the N64 or Gamecube... something that doesn't look too toyish and or too futuristic. There will never be anything wrong with good old buttons IMO.
I want to buy one, but the thing is, there has to be a lot of games to make the purchase worth while. Example, the reason I bought a PSP 3000 two years ago was so I could play Monster Hunter Freedom U, right? Well, it was a fun game, but there was no one else who had it, so I had to go on hunts alone. Second, that was the only reason why I bought a PSP. Sure, I bought a dozen or so games for it, but in the end, they all turned out to be bland and boring. And so I sold all the games and movies I had on UMD except MHF. My point is, I hope the Vita has some really appealing titles before I purchase it and then end up only buying one game for it in the long run.
