@Kunakai: Mercenaries 1 & 2 were great games, but since Pandemic studios doesn't exist anymore, after EA did their thing to them, the franchise lives in name only, sadly.
@Daian: Additionally, Apple makes products that the sheep that buys them have to replace every so often, they have absolutely no interest in making something that their customers can have for years.
Case in point. They are actively working against consumers being able to change the battery in their iPhones. If What I heard is correct, they now glue their batteries in, after they learned that using non-standard tool specs wasn't effective enough for making their customers just buy a new phone when their battery got worn.
@B0NES96: One of the later patches (the one that "increases" maximum GMP and resources if you are online) actively transfers 90% of all your stuff to the online quota.
Example: Let's say you had the maximum of 5,000,000 GMP before the patch released. The new maximum is 7,500,000 GMP (when online), but if you log on and then log off, you can only access 2,500,000 GMP, the rest is locked on Konami server.
Example 2: If you had 2,400,00 GMP then log on and off, you will only be able to access 240,000 GMP (10%) while 2,160,000 GMP is locked behind the server connection.
Example 3: You log on with 1,000,000 GMP Then you sell some resources (which you can now do less of since a lot of the resources are locked to your FOB) to get GMP for Research projects. You raise another 5,000,000 GMP and have a total of 6,000,000. The servers register that you now have 6 mill, but if you spend, let's say 4,500,000 on development projects, it will pretty much only register depletion on the Mother Base account, leaving the server acount alone, meaning that it registers that you have 1,500,000 GMP left, but will distrubute it as (something like) 2,000,000 on the server account, and -500,000 on your Mother Base account. This NEGATIVE bottom line (which is only when you're offline) depletes staff morale, and they will start to leave if you don't do anything. Which happened to me because I logged off without noticing.
@Bumblebee1138 The thing is that there are fewer games in the Far Cry series than in AC. I own 7 AC games, but only 2 Far Cry games, something that adds up with the released stats.
BTW, Far Cry 3 was my personal game of the year 2012, and is just short of The Last of Us to be my game of the gen.
