@umehaha: That's because this is basically an exhibition match. Something for entertainment. A lot of sports have them, like boxing. Where a loss doesn't count. It's all just for fun, or things like raising money for charity. Another example would be like when pro golfers pair up with celebrities. Either way, Daigo seems like a humble dude that isn't that concerned with "street cred." Not like when you watch something like a poker tournament and everybody are just weirdos with egos and short tempers.
@burnedandfrozen: This not false advertisement. That would require Microsoft actually stated somewhere that the game was free. It can't be false advertisement when there's a lack of an advertisement. A price listing is not an advertisement, it's a price listing.
@dyshonest: You've got to be kidding with that. First time I recall seeing that "coining" of the term was almost 15 years ago with the Canon Digital Rebel. A camera meant to bridge the gap between professional and consumer. That "cringey" term has been around for a long time, and used for a lot of different products to classify them as something that tries to satisfy the needs of both professionals and consumers. Jimmy didn't coin it.
@suicidesn0wman: He just cut & pastes news from all over the place. Doing actual research before submitting an article is not in a Gamespot news editor's job description.
I like that the video acknowledges Jeff's "controversial" departure. Doesn't just breeze past it. This video makes me almost as misty-eyed as the TechTV people I grew up watching. I remember being glued to CNN when James Kim and his family went missing. Because those folks were like family. Gamespot (like TechTV) had a lot of great people working for them.
Woah! I think I saw The High Sparrow in that Command & Conquer background footage, lol.
