Old-ass AOL newsgroups porn had better video quality than this.

This game has become Gamespot's clickbait. Evident by how EVERY article about it ends with a collection of links to every other article about it. That, combined with the ridiculous video ads visitors have to sit through have made this site unbearable.

Yet there's still a huge gap in "fairness" between city players and rural players. That there also proves how little "integrity" Niantic has. City players basically have a free-to-play game, while rural players end up sitting behind a paywall once they level up enough for catches to break free. Running of Pokeballs because the game decides randomly to not know what a swipe is. And even if they add trading and battles, what are country bumpkins going to do? "I'll trade you my Weedle for your Pidgey. Deal? No? Okay, let's just fight our overpowered Raticates."

Ugh, another game I have to wait for because Telltale keeps pushing this "episodic" crap. They're losing money with that. Because I just got Game Of Thrones a while back on disc for $10.

@catsimboy: Go live in the sticks. It's a slog from the start. I could put KFC out of business with all the Pidgeys I've caught so far.

@129260: To me, it's getting lots of kids out on their bikes actually hanging out. Not sitting in their separate homes playing consoles with just a headset to connect them to their friends. I see that a lot, clusters of kids on bikes near the firehouse, etc. It'll fade out soon, but kids will have much cooler summer to remember than sitting in the basement with a headset on. Just watch some streams where people are all hanging out in Central Park at 2:00 AM and the smart businessmen are just parking their their ice cream trucks there to capitalize on this craze.

The game itself is pretty bland, might not even be fixed by the trading patch, but it's a positive thing overall compared to the kind of crap you see on the news lately.

People going the park. Oh, the humanity! Only thing I agree with is putting up signs so the stoners don't smoke near the kids. But noise ordinances should apply, unless the park is like Santa Monica Pier where it's open all the time. I live in the Midwest and a lot of parks you're not supposed to hang out in after dark. They all get unofficially renamed to "Pickle Park" after dark because the pervs use the bathrooms for sex meetups. There's already been stories about pedophiles going to the parks after dark to find kids out by themselves and offer to drive them around to make catching Pokes easier.

@Dark_Matters: I recall that recently there was supposed to be an option to have your location delisted as a gym/stop. I know a lot Holocaust museums and Arlington Cemetery have complained and Niantic listened to them. You'd likely only be able to have your location cease to be marked as Stop or a Gym. But the nature of the game would still probably cause spawns.

Another 30 second video ad. And another video I backed out on. Why doesn't that Gamespot survey ever pay attention to comments on how to make the site better? You're owned by CBS, you don't need money this bad.
