Anyone know offhand?

We got lucky and only had about $900 in damages ($1000 deductible so that sucks). Blew out our HVAC board, garage door board, Xbox power adapter (luckily not the console itself!!!), cable box, cordless phones, etc. Our main 50" TV was saved, but lost an older 20" and 25" tube TVs so now left with the 50" LCD and two tiny ancient 13" tube TV that were sitting in the basement. In a way, it's a good thing as we get to upgrade from our old tubes but the cost still sucks.

Looking to buy a moderate 32" LCD for our bedroom and a 22"-26" LCD for a small office/computer room. Neither will be hooked to a cable box and not too likely to be used for gaming, but still a possibility there. Budget isn't concrete but would like to spend no more than about $450 for the 32" and around $300 for the small LCD. Any opinions?

We were hit by a power surge Thursday and had all kinds of electronics killed. The Xbox 360 and cable box were hit but the TV and DVD player on the SAME surge suppressor were ok.

My question is: Could it just be that the AC adapter and big brick were zapped or more likely that the whole system was fried?

I just got this Arcade version a few months back after my original run 360 finally went down to an E74 error after 3+ years of service. Now I've got to see if I should just try a new adapter? Or else buy a new system? If so, then have to decide on another Arcade with the Jasper chipset and buy a 120GB HDD or get an Elite with the $299 price drop (but likely get an older chipset)... Since I had an original, I only currently have a 20GB HDD so was looking to upgrade soon anyway.

I'd like to stick with Netgear since that's what I've always used and had good success and little to no problems whatsoever, but man there are several to choose from:

Which would be best in my situation? I hardwire my desktop to the router, then wirelessly connect my xbox 360 and one laptop. Distance typically is pretty close (normally within 30 feet or so)

If I switch from using a Netgear b/g RangeMax router to an N-router something like this:

will my Xbox wireless adapter stillhave aboutthe same speed? As long as its the same, I'd like the N-router to get better and faster laptop connectivity. Any opinions???

No one else has experienced this issue???

Over the past week or so, my e-mailed game updates have had an issue. I still receive them, but instead of a picture of the game and a short description, I just get a tiny blankbox where the pic should be and no write-up at all.

Only change I've made recently is that I installed IE8 (used IE7 previously without any issues).

Anyone else with this problem or know how to fix???

Looking into the Creative T10 and Klipsch Groove PM20 for a somewhat better 2.0 set. Creative T10 is currently about $46 and Klipsch Groove PM20 is about $60.

Not an everyday music listener, but do listen sometimes. As far as movies and games, seldom to never on the desktop.

Any opinions???

Currently have a Logitech Z4 2.1 set, but getting a TON of loud cracking in right speaker primarily when adjusting volume. I know the $116 Logitech Z-2300 2.1 set is great, but may be overkill for my needs though I do miss my old Klipsch ProMedia v2.400's...
