I've obviously been out of the PC gaming loop for the past few years, so where is best place to check for games other than Steam?

Hewkii and AnotherKill--

Exactly what I was looking for. I remember playing the entire Monkey Island series and had Grim Fandango at one point but don't think I even started it for one reason or another.

Sam & Max seems like a perfect start. Are Penumbra and Lost Crown point-click type adventures or are they more action-oriented? Any horror type point-click adventure games recommended?

Looking for a suggestion or two for a good adventure/puzzle type game (i.e. Penumbra & Lost Crown would be great if my system can run them) with low vid card requirements (Dell Inspiron 1420 w/GeForce 8400M GS). Have plenty elsewhere - Core2Duo T8300, 4GB RAM, etc...

Ok, found that Circuit City has the Z-4 for $99 with a $50 rebate plau I've got a $15 coupon, so would be basically $35 after all is said and done.

With that pushing the Z-4's into pretty much the same price zone as the X-230's, which would you choose between those two???

Logitech X-230 for around $40

or

Logitech Z-2300 for around $100?

I've used Klipsch ProMedia v2.400 in the past but looking for a more basic 2.1 set that still sounds at least good. All reviews seem to really like the X-230 "for the price", but are they good despite the price???

I've never ordered from them before, so asking this to anyone who has....

If I were to pre-order Halo3, how long does it typically take for you to get it after release date?

I can use either one.  Which is preferred by most?
