well, a fully loaded pc uses much much better hardware than these consoles. These consoles would compare ok to 3-4 generation old pcs and still end up losing. Still, PC uses less power....why??
Interesting you would say that, I also had a vita and I had the exact same experience as you. The vita was so damn boring that I had to sell it for $200 including 5 games on kijiji. I didn't want to sell the vita since it had pretty decent hardware, but when the games suck that bad, theres nothing else to do with it except watch it collect dust. Mine was collecting dust for 6 months before I sold it. Literally the only game that I enjoyed was p4g, and that game which is a typical atlus game has extremely boring grinding that gets worse as the game goes on. I guess different strokes for different folks. I would not buy a vita again even if it were sold for $100.
id say the reason is the media hype machine. The ps4 and xbone look normal, nothing much has changed from the last gen, its just selling because people buy the hype. No other reason whatsoever.
Also nintendo proved last gen that people don't care that much about graphics on consoles, when the wii with the worst graphics by a mile outsold both the ps3 and xbox 360 put together. If you are good at marketting the strong points of something, the hype will sell itself. Nintendo didn't provide a clear reason for the hype machine to take off for the wii u like they did with the last gen nintendo wii.
The wii u is just wierd, hell even I thought it was wierd when I saw it at e3. They should have changed the design, instead the wii u looks exactly like the nintendo wii. The only new thing is the tablet gamepad, and nintendo wasn't even successful at communicating the purpose of it, or what it can be used for. Therefore people just assume its a gimmick. In short, most of the reason for the failure of the wii U is nintendo's own fault. Even if nintendo continued with the stick controller but tweaked it to make it much more advanced, then there would have been enough hype to sell well. The wii mote could have been improved in many ways. Its a shame.
Either way, for me the system is probably the only console I will be getting this gen, and im waiting for a price drop before I pick one up.
sonys first party games are crap, they're last place with the wii u being first, xbox coming in second. Your opinion is your opinion and mine is mine but most people will agree with me over you. For the second part, I don't think specs matter much, especially when the PC is like so far ahead of either consoles, it doesn't even matter who is second place. If you care about specs, it all about the PC. The one thing that you didnt say that will help out sony in doing well is that it is cheaper than the xbox.
true that every reviewer has their own opinion but bringing politics into a review is stupid. If the game isn't fun or there are some technical issues then fine, dock the game, but complaining about the way the game potrays women???That is a new fuking low for a review.
