@hitman047m4 @xgalacticax The install base dilemma is a catch22. Devs don't release games on a system with a low install base. The install base doesn't grow because people cannot find enough games on the system to interest them. It's a viscous cycle. Devs have to understand the reason people buy consoles are to play games. No games = no buy. Devs got to step up, then the people will come.
Damn. I just bought one. We need NEW GAMES, not new hardware. Yes, I am aware of the ports and remakes out for the vita. Only remakes I'm interested in are Muramasa Rebirth and P4G(which I own it) because I missed them both and they added new content. It needs an identity beyond being a "port machine". Fortunately some are on the way in the fall (Ys: Memories of Celceta and Killzone have me very excited). Releasing a new iteration of hardware with ho-hum sales is going be a financial burden on Sony.
Is that hard to figure out? Capcom tried to do too much RE6. They tried to please everyone. If games today are adding feature to appeal to broader audiences, RE6 took that notion to the Extreme. The game itself ended up suffering for it.
Cut prices on memory and hardware THEN bring out the games. It worked for the Nintendo 3DS (At least hardware-wise. SD cards are already VERY cheap nowadays).
