Eveything sounds good. But based on that press shot, the system looks terrible. Reminds me of the Wii classic controller. After the horror that is the Wii (and the Wii U), I don't want anything that even remotely resembles anything Wii.
Unless they come with built-in physical controls in a compact and portable form, tablets and smart phones will never replace my dedicated gaming handhelds. Until then, I will continue to buy dedicated gaming handhelds.
Yep, I want console quality gaming and higher tech on my handhelds. That's why I love the PSV and have little interest in getting the 3DS. Same reason I way very happy with the PSP and forgot I even had a DS.
I really respect Nintendo as a company that tries to please their fan base with great games instead of trying to milk them with fake DLC. Unfortunately, their systems just don't catch my interest and have not since the Gamecube/GBA era.
Though I'm not a fan of yearly sequels, I have to admit having two devs rotate is a pretty good idea. I still won't buy CoD every year; I'm still playing Black Ops. But it's nice to have so many options should I want to upgrade. It makes it easier to avoid garbage noobtube fest like Modern Warfare 2.
Still, ATVI should remember what they did to Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero before it's too late for CoD.
For example, skill can not easily be measured with stats. A player with a 3.00 kill/death ratio isn't always better than a player with a 2.00 K/D ratio. And if the player with a 2.00 K/D ratio has higher game winning percentage, how will the system combine all these stats to determine which players are of equal skill level?
IIRC, the majority of my XL reputation said I was disruptive and quit early.
Very funny and makes no sense since I'm never rude to other players (in fact, I don't even voice chat) snd never do anything to hurt other gamers deliberately (unless people are calling me "disruptive" because I do significantly better than them).
I also rarely leave mid-match and only leave in casual team gamse where players are constantly joining and leaving mid-game, which has no effect on other players in the game. I never run away from a 1 vs 1 match.
Considering the matrix of different factors, I can't imagine this vision will work out well.
