Overcompensating for something?

My computer is as old as crap and can't play any games from the last several years. I must be undercompensating:D

[QUOTE="nameless12345"]

I find it funny that Crash Bandicoot gets mentioned so much as a PS1 game that "truly stood the test of time". I mean you have to be blind not to see that that game is now hardly any good when compared to modern 2.5D platformers. The PS1 Resident Evil games are also no match for the GameCube ones.

nameless12345

Hardly any good? You're kidding, right? It's one the best platformers of all time, still a freaking blast to play and 10 times better than the last few Crash Bandicoot games that have come out.

The problem is he wrote which games "trully stood the test of time". So if I understand correctly he's not asking which games are still fun but which games can still compare to modern games. And the Crash Bandicoot games do not hold a candle to modern platformers imo. They would be average at best today, even Crash 3.

Exactly. I am looking for games that would justify me purchasing them today, not just games that were great at the time. I have played a few of the Crash games and I agree that they were great, but do not compare to some recent platformers such as the two Ratchet games on PS3.

No question 5 starring every song on expert in GH3.

I should have gotten Seriously achievement, but I got too pissed when I was over 10000 kills and sold Gears the next day. I figured I wouldn't enjoy it anymore until I got the achievement, which could have been a couple thousand kills away.

I will be getting 1. Modnation Racers or Pursuit Force (I cannot decide could somebody help?)2. Killzone Liberation.

I already have LBP. So PSP Gamers what games will you be getting>?

Wolfetan

Definitely get Killzone Liberation. As for the other two, I have played and surprisingly enjoyed Pursuit Force, but I can't tell you anything about Modnation Racers. I have heard some bad things about it, though, so I would go with Pursuit Force if I were you.

NCAA Football 09. Every difficulty besides Heisman was a joke. On Heisman, offense (both passing and running) was impossible and defense was stupidly easy. Every game was essentially 3-0, 7-0, or 7-3. Not to mention the blood pressure raisingest load times I may have ever seen in my life. As far as non-sports games go, Untold Legends (the first one), and Star Wars Battlefront II. Untold Legends had music so bad I had to turn the sound off after about 2 minutes and never turned it back on.Battlefront II wasn't horrible, but it just could not competein any waywith the other shooters Ihave played on PSP.

VCS is my favorite PSP game ever (I know a lot of people would be surprised by that). Chinatown Wars was my second favorite PSP GTA game, followed by LCS, which is still excellent (I would give it 8.5 or 9). Get all 3 if you know you like GTA, but get VCS if you only get one of them.

I thought Red Faction: Armageddon looked good, but then I played the demo.
