I bought mine at Ebay on auction last month for £103 inc p&p I bought it on ebay becuase all my local stores were sold out so I was happy to pay the extra £3. But now christmas is over my local stores now have them back in stock> but ebay is the other option. If you want the sellers shop on ebay I will be happy enough to provide you with the link.
Sounds to me your computer is overheating when doing stronger tasks. I recoemend you either get new fans if there is enough space that is, orginise the cables so they are not in the way of air flow. or get your self a new case with built in fans.
You can disable the on-board/intergrated network adaptor via the system manger tool in windows and install your older one. Let me warn you though if your opening the side case of the computer you may loose the warrenty.
