Wii HD. Should have been from the start, if it did, I wouldnt hate the wii as much as I do now. Justinge3
well that pretty much states that you're a graphics whore
and if it had HD, it would not have been as cheap as it was at launch, therefore they would not have sold as many units as it did
with as much money that they have made with the wii they can glady make a very powerful console because they can EASILY afford it
What's wrong with being a graphics whore? I bet if a game had dated visuals you guys would complain about it, the Wii should have been a HD console, there's no reason it shouldn't have been, it could have been weaker than the PS3 and 360 but graphically much better and still be cheaper. No one is buying the wii because it's the cheapest console it's because of the gimmick.
Whore has a negative meaning. Therefore, by using whore as a qualifier, you make the thing inherently bad. Simple stuff really.I don't think you understand how HD works. Even if they did come out with a Wii HD, those games would still play in their non-HD state. Not like mario needs to be rendered in 1080p. That said, they better not come out with an entirely new system. I just got a Wii this christmas and don't want it going immediately obsolete, especially considering the Wii doeesn't need HD. The Wii's main problem is titles, which are affected not by its computational ability but by its different control structure, something Wii HD certainly wouldn't fix. I wonder if something similar to the expansion pack would be acceptable in this generation? I'd certainly prefer getting a RAM memory expansion pack to laying down $300+ for a new system. If they came out with a Wii HD i would buy it the day it comes out and put in Super Mario Galaxy in glorious HD then invite all of my friends over for brawl. It would be amazing. But its not gunna happen, i hope it does though.

Nice zinger there. You alone have enough conceptual sense to realize that no speculation can be made on unreleased technology. Truly, no one will know about NATAL's capabilities as a technology, applicability as a peripheral, or general marketability until two years after it's released. Amazing people bother releasing new technologies or stockholders buy into company's given the total crapshoot of a product before release. Have you considered a profession in stock brokerage? Your 'don't knock it till you tried it' approach is bound to gain some lucky shareholder millions in profits. In summation, *facepalm.[QUOTE="alittletoohappy"][QUOTE="themyth01"]lol way to bash an unreleased technology, good job. themyth01
No, we'll know everything about Natal, how it functions, "capabilities as a technology, applicability as a peripheral, or general marketability", more than 8 months before it's released and from a random youtube video of course. Yea, that makes sense, thanks.
We don't know but we can certainly speculate. To me, it's looking to be a stinker. Feel free to disagree but there is at least enough information present to base speculative opinion there.lol way to bash an unreleased technology, good job. themyth01Nice zinger there. So when Sony reaches into their pockets and buys publishing rights to game its ok. But when MS does it, its a crime against humanity
Hypocrisy lol
[QUOTE="navyguy21"]Because sony bought exclusivity and publishing rights. It was originally in development for 360, PC, and PS3.

pretty much this That's an interesting thing for Cage to say considering it's apparently obvious that that was not how the next generation turned out. That said, the point is that it's inarguably okay when a developer chooses to dev for a single platform but it's more ambiguous when a platform buys the exclusive rights to a game. However, you have to realize that neither Sony nor Microsoft have an obligation to bring happiness to the lives' of the competing brand's supporters, and it is within their interests to do the exact opposite in order to bolster loyalty to their brand. You're confusing running a business with greed.did the eye toy succed?[QUOTE="humber_matus"][QUOTE="CDUB316"]
OH...so what you MEANT to say was...the NATAL in will fail ME
just because you don't see yourself playing it, doesn't mean millions of others won't
i'm talking about an OVERALL success, not just yours and mines tastes
CDUB316
no because it sucked....NATAL is going to be everything the eyetoy should have been plus SOOOOOOO much more
I remember the eyetoy. It wasn't a lasting product for me but it was fun and I enjoyed the ninja games and the self recording as a kid. Much better value than I get from some current games. Maybe part of the reason it wasn't a disappointment for me was because I was not tuned into marketing campaigns at the time and so didn't look at the eyetoy as a peripheral to promising new games but as an individual game in itself. That said, NATAL is going to suck. The thing about eyetoy was it was just a peripheral. Microsoft's promising way more than it can deliver. Even with actual shape and position recognition, it only about doubles the amount of things you can do with the limited eyetoy technology. Doesn't mean it won't cost near as much as a videogame console. The point that NATAL missesis that just because simplifying videogames brought the Wii success doesn't mean simplifying videogames past that will bring even more success with the casual community. It's like arguing that if giving a plant a cup of water is so nice for it, just imagine what two gallons of water will do. The thing that NATAL supporters have failed to see so far is that with increased simplicity comes decreased applicability. The mouse and keyboard has more applicability than the gamepad, the gamepad has more than the Wiimote, and the Wiimote has more than NATAL ever will. The Wii already pushed the envelope past what people thought was possible. NATAL is going to go too far.
Actually, I'm pretty sure the developers said GOW III would be 15 hours or more (assuming that's what you're referring to). MGS 4's online wasn't all that great anyways. It was the story/gameplay that got that game a 10. Also, OoT didn't have online...
Master_ShakeXXX
So the question is, if the content given in a game wasn't perfect, why did it get a 10?
