The AI is dumb, just standing around waiting to be beaten.

Generally I prefer turn based but I akso like real time. But hybrid of turn based and real time action (e.g., Shadow Heart, Valkyrie Chronicles ...) is best.

There's onky 1 game really interests me is Xenoblade Chronickes 2. Maybe get Zelda later at some point. Oh and Dragon Quest XI.

Objectively speaking gaming is not dying but as of now I feel rather indifferent to most games in this gen. TC, you should consider less well known franchises/games like The Legend of Heroes Trails in The Sky, Trails of Cold Steel, Ys ... if you like JRPG.
