@camou504: I am enjoying Syndicate more than Black Flag and Rogue. I am enjoying the personalities of the main characters more. I got tired of Black Flag (did not finish) and rushed through Rogue's main story and stopped while I am taking my time in Syndicate. Probably because I am one of the few who didn't take a liking to the naval related gameplay.
@jonnybrownieboy: Well, Mojang has put out more than one product while Notch was around, but I don't think they ever had much impact. In any case, the impact of Minecraft can't be denied.
@Nightflash28: X-Com 2 is great. I am having a blast playing it and I would consider it to be a job well done by Firaxis. Graphics are improved, some mechanics changed for the better, more interesting enemies, and I just enjoy the game as a whole. Now, for those who give the game a thumbs down? Well, there are some optimization issues going on (not too bad on my machine), but that is something that'll be resolved with patches and should be expected for any new release. Some people really hate how some missions have a turn timer. Personally, it's not that bad. I haven't lost a mission because of a timer yet (came close a couple times though). There are a few other glitches with animation/physics and it is slightly amusing to see when a female character dies, there is a headshot popup where the character has a receding hairline all of a sudden.
Anyway, I feel those issues are minor to me. It takes a lot for me to get riled up about a certain bug/mechanic and doesn't happen too often (though Elite Dangerous has me shaking my head right now).
@Mausolus: That's what I like about X-Com 2. You can do your best to do all the right moves, but sometimes, things don't fall like you want them. I look at games like this and Darkest Dungeon in a way that I should maximized my odds, but I don't expect things to work to perfection all the time.
