"US President directs Centers for Disease Control..."

So, the Prez is saying video games is a disease, huh? It must be if he's going to waste the CDC's resources researching something that's not a disease, right? The Newtown shootings became overly politicized than what it should be. It's pathetic. No wonder the US is going down into the crapper. Not only that, we DON'T have 500 mil to throw away. Sigh...

Apparently, Rockefeller doesn't understand the meaning of no. He needs to stop wasting time reintroducing the same crap that gets shot down and do something productive, for a change.

Chris Christie... last I checked, violence has permeated human history since humankind began. I bet it'll persist even if video games disappeared off the face of the planet. Anyway, the gov needs to focus on real problems in his state and not take advantage of the media craze of the Newtown shooting. I'm damn certain the guy didn't go on a rampage because he played some video games.

It depends. Like others have said, if the developer does it right, sequels can be as awesome as an original. Most enjoy rehashing the same old crap to make more money, unfortunately. Personally, I think the Assassin's Creed series is doing pretty well for itself. Not everyone enjoys that series, but I do and don't mind more of it (as long as they don't go beyond Desmond's time to shine). Heck, one of the best made RPG's, Baldur's Gate 2 is a sequel and that title is treated like a classic. Now you do have crappy sequels, such as Dragon Age 2. Those should be things devs should stay away from if they're not going to put out quality in the first place.

Shut up and take m money! CD Projekt has done so well with The Wtcher that they have the talent needed to make Cyberpunk into a fantastic game. The teaser trailer definitely was awesome. I know trailers are not indicative of quality, but CD Projekt has a good track record of quality and hope they keep that track record up for this one! Plus I love sci-fi anything, so I'm a sucker for these sorts of games anyway.

Sorry, politicians, but attempting to find simple explanations for tragedies like the most recent school shooting doesn't work. There are far more complex problems that led to what happened.

Is this guy for real? This guy buffs anything that argues for stricter gun laws whenever a violent gun shooting occurs. Then he does the exact same thing his opponents do when it comes to video games. I know LaPierre will agree that guns don't kill people, but people kill people. How is the context different with video games? What a damn hypocrite.

@philMcCrevis Curt's studio may have delivered an excellent game, but the studio did not go out of business at a whim. Do not blame GameSpot for not critically supporting the game. The blame, ultimately, is Curt's. Any business owner is always at fault for their failed company. Not that they can't share the blame, but it's their ultimate responsibility.

As for Rhode Island, granting a loan is the worst possible way of attracting business to their state. Governments, local to federal, need to make their place more attractive by better taxes and things like that. That way, they don't get screwed out of tax payer dollars.

Yeah, definitely too early to get excited, but CD Projekt knows how to put out some quality games. I'll definitely keep an eye out 'cause I loved sci-fi RPGs.
