@hellgast0 @cboye18 Same here. Chose Xernias... then was pleased with Mewtwo X, and then was pleasantly surprised again by Charizard X... though I am a little worried that I might lose access to Thick Fat Venusaur by playing X.

@mav_destroyer @Ansem_Rev From what they're saying, it sounds like EV training is now a mini-game. I wonder if the old system still works as well.

@Shinteikun Pokemon IS the battles. The combat in Pokemon is about as "static and wooden" as a game of poker. If you want to play a game that lets you zip about and fling attacks everywhere, go play Dust or No More Heroes or something. Don't insist that the best part of Pokemon is the problem.

@couchtater12345 @mariomaster16 I'm always baffled by comments like this. "Do you know what would make Pokemon interesting? Make it not Pokemon." Pokemon, is the battle mechanics. The rest is just window dressing. There's people out there who use simulators to play nothing but the battles, considering the catching, leveling, and story, to be a waste of time.

@greenpolyp That's the one thing that bugs me about the Pokemon games, they insist on removing great mechanics like the Ball Seals.

@JOTLD @Tylendal Okay. It's the internet, so I just assume everything I see is a personal attack. :p Personally, I'm more hyped for Pokemon-amie more than anything else, finally being able to interact with all my favourite pokemon. That being said, I have no clue how I'm supposed to interact with a Starmie...

@JOTLD I was simply addressing the ludicrousness of people claiming that they need to "change the gameplay" or "bring in new combat." They're failing to understand the true appeal of the Pokemon games. And the collecting I guess... but the battle mechanics are definitely a HUGE part of the appeal.

@johnners2981 Translation: "I was hoping they'd make it not Pokemon." At it's core, Pokemon is a battle system, it's what makes the game great. The rest is nothing but window-dressing. Heck. Websites like Netbattle prove that many people think the battle mechanics are the only part of the game worth playing.
