When I see a story mode/single player modes (like Smash Bros. always had) in the final game, then I can say you put enough effort into this game. We don't always have our friends over 24/7, so we need those story modes and stuff. And I don't buy that crap about why you don't want to include another story mode. And a roster for Smash Bros isn't really hard. Nintendo has too many good characters for you to find it stressful. Bring back fan favorites, get rid of the oddball characters, stop adding weird characters like Wii Fit Trainer, put some cool 3rd party characters, and pick characters that would work best for this game's gameplay.
Hopefully this is a wake up call for Nintendo, so they can stop with these seriously underpowered consoles. They really should release consoles on par with Sony and Microsoft so that most developers will be willing to put their games on a Nintendo console, while we wait for Nintendo to release their own games in the meantime. Nintendo should stop with all the casual crap and crappy confusing names like the Wii and Wii U. How about calling your next console the Revolution? I hope Nintendo now realize how fickle casual gamers are, and will now focus on the more hardcore gamers, and also not to release a console without any really good console selling triple A games. Nintendo it's time to go back to your NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube days. The days when I used to love Nintendo consoles like crazy. Nintendo get your act together!

I agree with Kiaininja, a Japanese company blocking Japanese indie is a big deal and a bit silly. Still a very questionable move on Nintendo's part.
Nintendo wants 3rd party support, Nintendo wants developers to develop games on their consoles, but won't allow the developers (even if they are indie) that want to develop games on their console to develop games for the Wii U. Nintendo logic.
So what are people supposed to do if they're playing it by themselves instead of playing it with their friends? It doesn't sound like it will have much of a single player mode. I'm one who actually like the cutscenes and story modes, and collecting trophies and unlocking things in SSB when my friends aren't over my place.

@johnnybravo29 @k0k066 @TooCoolForYou I never once said that this game look bad or that the pirate theme doesn't work or whatever. All I said was the theme is pirate so they can branch off and make a pirate game out of it. It's a missed opportunity in making a complete pirate game IP that I've always wanted. That's it. That's all I was saying from the start. I don't really care where they go with the series or what theme they decide to use next. I've played every console AC game released, and probably gonna end up playing this game too.
@k0k066 @TooCoolForYou Narrative or not, it still doesn't change the fact that it looks more like a pirate game than your typical assassin creed game. I can see a man walk down the street dressed like a thug, and he could be the nicest man on earth, but it still doesn't change the fact that he looks like a thug.
They still could have turned this game into a brand new pirate game, and have the new assassin creed game based on the new graphic novel which takes place in India. I'm sure that game would've looked gorgeous if it took place in India.
