There's a huge problem with this. What happens when you're disc is full of scratches, or your console is starting to show it's age, or there's a technical problem going on in your console? Sony bans you from PSN and makes your game no longer playable because they think you pirate the game when it could be something else that's the problem? Pirates don't suffer from the patent, but the average consumer does. This patent is silly.
@DeViLzzz @TooCoolForYou Just like how there's no reason why people have to watch violent movies and violent music videos or listen to violent music, or read violent books., but we all do. These are all forms of entertainment that takes us out of our world for the moment and put us in their world for the moment. I have never played a violent video game that has made me want to go on a shooting spree afterwards. If we want to start blaming violent games, then we might as well start blaming all forms of entertainment that has violence in it, because video games are not the only thing that's violent out there to stimulate the mind. And video games are not even that violent compared to other stuff like Saw movies which has far more gore and blood than any violent video game I have played.
They say you become wiser the older you get, but what is up with these old people who blames video games which they know nothing about instead of blaming the real problem which is the lack of gun control. Violent games don't kill people, violent people kills people.
