Wow holy Battlefield rip-off. I never thought I'd see the day. Funny thing to me is that CoDs create a class system was one of the things about that franchise that honestly didn't need a revamp, but this is like "O shit Battlefield 1 sold well and was more well recieved, so QUICK! DO WHAT THEY ARE DOING!"
Sounds good. Would much rather have new games and new ip instead of remaster after remaster. The only games worth remastering are OLD games. The new System Shock looks good for example.
@DAOWAce: One step at a time haha. Gotta manage those finances, but the badass monitor is next. Debating between 21:9 3440 x 1440 or 16:9 4k. I didn't have any gaming pc before this one so I wanted to build a monster. I was using a mac mini beforehand. I literally built the pc like two weeks ago, it was my first build.
And yeah after reading your previous comment I actually did look a bit into downsampling and it definitely makes certain games look more crisp on in 1080p.
@Shadowsnake: Um it's also trivially easy to also add:
g.g. e.z.
gg e.z.
gg e z
gg 3z
and so on to the filter as well.... Extremely simple. Basically they add all the variations until you are stuck with no options that get the point across.
@nibbin1191: Well maybe you should pass those opinions.... to an extent at least.
I don't need to drive a PT Cruiser to decide it's not for me. No matter how well it drives, it is damn fugly and I have zero interest in it. I don't need to see Suicide Squad to know that this is not my type of movie. There are lot of details one can gather from promotional materials and trailers and whatnot. This doesn't make me an idiot. There is value in judging the aesthetics of things and one doesn't always need thorough, hands-on experience to make a valid assessment of something.
That said, I get what your saying... It's something different to say "man, the controls of Dark Souls feel like crap" if you have never even played Dark Souls. And yeah, it's important to keep an open mind about certain things and allow yourself to be surprised, but I disagree with anyone who says you need to buy and try something before deciding you do not like it. To give a proper review - yeah you need to experience something. To form a valid opinion you do not.
While what Sky was referring to wasn't entirely clear, I think what he meant by "better multiplayer scene" is that it can handle more players in multiplayer (based upon his previous sentence about For Honor being 4v4 plus bots). Better is subjective and if what they care about is number of players in a game, than his critique is valid with 0 playtime necessary.
Anyway this game looks pretty cool, I'm going to keep an eye on it. Not much of a fan of Ubisoft's main offerings for some time now but this looks like it has promise. I have also been considering picking up Chivalry because the screaming like a madman as you charge into battle basically sells itself.
@DAOWAce: Because my monitor is 1080p with a 60hz refresh rate?
Correct me if I am wrong but there is little to no benefit of running higher resolutions when my monitor can only handle 1080p, 60fps.....
And yeah I have top tier components in my pc so I am not surprised, but I was surprised that someone else claiming to have exactly the same setup as me was complaining about performance on the same settings.
