Wauw, well if it's the case you tried to copy World of Warcraft, you did an exceptionally poor job...

I found SWTOR graphically poor, with repetitive animations (every npc you speak to makes the same hand movements), and unnatural cities and buildings (too much symmetry, often too big), which made immersion unlikely.
They should've chosen a different art style (f.i. the animated series look), put more money into animations and lifelike world building and less into voicing every single quest (just the main story quests are ample).

Of course, lightsabers make a big crowd of fans forget all the flaws...for a while.
It's one of the unfortunate disadvantages of hypes, that as creators in the end you're oblivious to what you're doing wrong.

They should do something with the ancient timelines: Exar Kun, Darth Revan and Darth Malak storylines.
Check the SWTOR Holonet, there's an abundance of interesting things in ancient Star Wars history.

I wish they would quit having "woo"-girls on adderoll present these things to artificially upgrade the mood in the room or generally suggest how excited we should be for something.
Tricks to mold my emotional state usually have an opposite effect on me.

What really stood out for me in these games, and I'm surprised it hasn't really been done the same way by other games again, is that training actually changed the visual animations (and effectiveness) of your combat moves in increments.
It took hours of training to get the skill, but your clunky 180° roundhouse kick over time transformed into a smooth 360° balanced roundhouse. No experience points, no "put one point in this skill to upgrade it to the next tier", but just train, train, train. I loved it.

@Dragon_Nexus: More like, he, like many studios, is feeling the pressure of Netflix and the like on the industry and trying to stem the tide.

But, I believe this tide is slowly but surely taking over the movie industry.
Going to the movies once costs me 12 EUR, that's the price of one month's subscription to Netflix, which I can watch anywhere, anytime on any platform, pause at will or even not have to leave my house for.
Studios are still rich, and will keep making blockbusters, but sure as the libraries of movie services are getting richer and increase in quality (HBO is awesome for instance), those studios will slowly go away, just like the dinosaurs.
