I'll give you a brief rundown of Fat Princess. The singleplayer is supposedly rpg-lite, but the they didn't reveal much info about it. There is going to be 32 player online 16v16 in which you go out into the woods near your castle and gather resources such as pie, cake etc, and then return it to your castle where you stuff your princess' face and make her abnormaly fat. See, it's sort of like a ctf-like game where the more you feed your princess the harder it is for the other team to carry her back to their castle. During all of this you will of course be killing the other team with bow and arrows, swords, and other traditional rpg type stuff.
Fat Princess is without a doubt the most interesting game to come out of e3 this year besides the already known stuff. People should really read up on this game and realize how awesome it sounds.
Couldn't have really said it any better, subrosian. I will add that not only are they not innovative, they put out a machine that is grossly overpriced for what it is capable of. It's a gamecube with motion sensing tacked on, which by the way, wasn't fun 10 years ago, and it isn't fun now. I still can't get over how they delayed Twilight Princess for a good year (after we had already waited, what 3? or 4. I don't really remember.) so they could have it for a launch game with the added GIMMICK of motion controls. Reggie talks about all these games for the Wii, when in fact, a good 85% of them are shovelware garbage that should have STAYED on the internet in a flash game format where it was free.
I don't see how anyone could possibly defend the direction Nintendo has gone. I certainly miss the SNES days.
I'm not sure how anyone could possibly argue that Microsoft's FFXIII announcement didn't steal the show completely. Sony was so distraught they didn't show a single JRPG in their conference, haha. They also talked about...... ps2 games. The Little Big Planet marketing presentation was the only cool part of the entire show. They may as well of not even shown the God of War trailer. We knew it was in development - the trailers showed absolutely nothing.
An absolute horror show. Once again Nintendo have given me no reason at all to even FATHOM purchasing a Wii other than Mario Galaxy. The only press conference that tops that one is the Sony 2006 one for "I'm embarrased to even be watching this. If someone walked in I would change the channel." bad award.
I like how people are ignoring this post. I've played metal gear solid 4, and I love it just as much if not more than most (Almost got all the emblems now). My favorite game so far this gen is an AA exclusive for 360 (Dead Rising). Just because a game is AAAA exclusive does NOT mean game over, in any single way.
