@Veronity I like a lot of other games, if you don't like my dislike for this game, that's fine, but don't try to censor me. Me disliking one game has no effect on any other games I play, lol. It's not like I'm playing Diablo and thinking, man I wish I didnt hate Sleeping Dogs so much, this game would be so much more fun if I didnt.

@IAMTYLERDURDEN You're right, I'm trolling because I don't like a game you like. This has nothing to do with GTA, but ok. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinions. I generally do avoid threads about games I dislike, but I know a lot of people who feel the same as I do about this game and I think people should be warned about how crappy this game is. I am performing a public service.

So let me get this straight:

a) I have no clue what I am talking about

b) I am entitled to my opinion

c) Because my opinion differs from yours, apparently that makes my opinion invalid.

So you liked Sleeping Dogs? Glad to hear you like garbage.

BUT YOU'RE ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION

Good talking, brah.

Funcom has such a backwards perspective on things.

"The firm acknowledged that reviews for The Secret World were mixed, noting that the poor critiques "impacted sales of the game significantly."

~The game didn't lose sales because of bad reviews. The bad reviews informed people that you made a shitty game, ergo you had poor sales because you made a shitty game.

"Additionally, Funcom claimed NCSoft's announcement of an August 28 release date for Guild Wars 2 the week before The Secret World launch, as well as Blizzard announcing a September 25 release date for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, hurt sales of The Secret World."

~These announcements didn't hurt your game. If you had made a better game, you would be able to compete. These games are simply better than yours and gamers realize this.

Sounds like Funcom needs to man up.

Funcom Mans Up

Today Funcom acknowledged that they made a crappy game.

The crappiness of the game resulted in poor reviews.

Because of how crappy the game is, gamers do not want to buy their game, but instead want to buy Guild Wars 2 (sequel to the highly popular MMO) and World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, games which people will know they will like, because they are sequels to games they already like.

In other breaking news, people don't like being ripped off.

The End.

This game is horrible. The people who like this game are the same people who think that the CoD franchise is a good game. The people who made this game don't really understand in the slightest why Grand Theft Auto is so amazing. The world's in GTA BREATHE. flowing realistic traffic, weather effects, a realistically designed world, not just some place that looks like it was designed for a video game. The combat in GTA isn't meant to be in depth, because GTA isn't about that. The driving isn't super in depth, but is still fun and way more realistic in terms of physics than Sleeping Dogs is. Actually in terms of physics, nothing really reacts the way you thin it would. One of the reasons I loved GTA games was for the rag-doll physics. I loved slamming into a person on a motorcycle or on the side of the road. There's a million reasons why GTA was fun that have nothing to do with the actual game. I can turn on GTA and go explore Liberty City, go jump on the roof of a building and snipe pedestrians. I can go hope in a helicopter and fly to a crazy height and fall to my death. I can do crazy stunts. The radio stations in GTA have ALWAYS been a huge part of the franchise and SD just doesn't have it. The combat is not fun, the driving feels restrictive and arcadey, like I'm playing Cruis'n USA or San Francisco Rush. I really don't know why people like this game. /Rant End

Viral marketing has already begun, here is an actual website Rockstar has created from the game: http://www.epsilonprogram.com/

I'm not really sure what it's about though.

When GTA V was originally announced back last October, there were reports that it was close to completion. There were people in Rockstar saying in March that the game was "basically done" all theyre doing is polishing at this point. Do you honestly believe that Gamestop has no information on this game?

I am going to make a prediction: Within a month We will here about how there was some crazy NDA with media outlets. Simultaneous info release extravaganza via Gamespot, IGN, Destructoid, etc...next month or so is a media blitz. GTA V is everyone you look, concrete details about locals, story and characters as well as gameplay are released constantly until release day, Predicting release sometime after mid October 2012, but no later than Black Friday 2012. This will be the game to buy, right next to the new CoD which will undoubtedly sell a ton as well. Mark my words.
