3DS is hurting for games. My kids would like a Wii U but there is no. Reason to own it right now.

This Review is too low. This game is for Kids. The game is far from great due to the following 1) it is too short 2) fights to unlock Characters lack any real challenge 3) there is nothing to really do with the Characters once unlocked other that - play levels that require Batman's suits or specific powers or unlock more Characters which is way too easy. Really a 7.5 would have much better suited the game, it has minor technical flaws, it is fun, at a point it becomes repetitive which results in low to moderate replay value. Some DLC (which Lego games never receive) would be very welcome since their is so little to do with unlocked characters, a Battle Mode (see Skylanders) would also add greatly to the replay value.

All I can say is already on Gamestop Preorder! Looks Great!

From the most recent Demo's, I will wait on Kingdom Hearts and skip this game. Kingdom Hearts has some pretty kickin combat.

I think part of the buyer enjoyment/euphoria (particularly with the pricepoint of console games) is the Physical Game/Case. Typically, digital purchases are for songs and XBL/PSN games which are at a far lower pricepoint. I also think that this will eliminate a portion of the current buyers. I also think this does not factor in console reliability (I had to send of by 360 and I had to buy a replacement Wii) and portability from console to console if you own more than 1 of a particular console. I think the Developers would definitely like to see this happen, since it would kill the Used Games Market, but I do not think it is practical.

If you waited (like I did) and bought Batman Arkham City GOTY, this was free DLC, along with all the other DLC and Skins. I do not think you can go wrong with free DLC, and the total package for $40. This is an awesome game. I am considering getting Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY just to fight the other villains, and spend more time in Arkham.

Based on my experience with the game, and all other available Reviews, this reviewer used poor judgment and bias. If you don't like Lego games and you are a hardcore gamer, you should not review games aimed at younger gamers. This game is not even close to Arkham City, but it is the best Lego game to date and a ton of fun.

The latest handhelds cost as much or MORE than a console. Why would I choose to play a SMALL handheld vs a full feature console game? They need to get the pricing in-line. The software is also overpriced vs the many inexpensive phone apps. Sony and Nintendo are missing the boat and doing a poor job of targeting what consumers want. Look, a Vita is HALF the price of an IPAD, which is a full on portable PC with loads of power, software, etc., it is no competition - get a Smartphone or an IPAD.
