@Shimayama: Yeah, this is fairly prevalent. As a result, most of the movies I've reviewed on imdb have their scores very slightly lowered if I've rated them. Like, hey this movie was OK, I'll give it a 6. No reason that you and I should propagate intentionally doing it wrong. Xaiax's point makes sense. It's apparent that we all see this the same way, but I didn't get the impression that game reviewers are looking at it that way - in that the games on the lower end of the spectrum, just aren't being reviewed. If they are looking at it that way, then I suppose I didn't give game reviewers enough credit.

@FBohler: Agreed, I liked it too. These types of challenging games are always more interesting. I'm ready to give it a go.

I know Yoshi's Woolly World level 1 is difficult and all but no need to take it out on the rest of the video games.

@njs72: Dark Souls 2 was a good game but used a color palette that looked somewhat more bland than the first two games. The architecture got a bit weird in places though mostly it had that same appeal that the other games have. Demons Souls and Dark Souls I'd give a 10 rating two and DS 2 I'd give an 8. You need to play the original game, Demons Souls, if you haven't yet.

@pelvist: Yeah, I'm a fan of Revenge of the Sith as well. The phantom menace was kind of whatever, attack of the clones i fell asleep during. ROTS I thought was pretty darn cool.

@kem1stry: Why shame on them for having an opinion of which game they like the best? Despite any of the game's technical flaws, they might have still enjoyed playing the game more than any of the others. An opinion is neither right nor wrong. If you don't agree, there's no reason to be upset unless you think that if they say Fallout 4 is the best game that makes it an undeniable truth. Maybe you just don't agree? Saying shame on them for liking one game over another doesn't make sense.

@DarckArchon: I'm confused about your stance. Your just saying it deserves an 8 instead of a 9? You gave it a good rating but don't have much good to say about it. If you disagreed about what aspects were good, what did you find was good that wasn't stated? From what you wrote, this game is more of 6 in your book. We know that no game is without flaws but being a game with a score on the positive end of the spectrum, the reviewer highlighted what they believed to be the strengths.

@harlemstruggle: You can still like the game even though it got a 6. They gave Mario party 10 a 6 rating and I had a lot of fun with it. I wouldn't disagree with their review of Mario party since it wasn't particularly innovative and might not have been as quite as good as previous versions. Seeing as how I hadn't played previous installments that much however it was glad I bought the game even after reading the 6 review and agreeing with it.

@tomahawk08: I think everyone agrees with you. There's really hardly any negative comments about the game. I've been playing for about 4 hours so far and it looks and feels the same to me as the first time I played Fallout 3. The thing is I loved Fallout 3 so that's not a bad thing. The atmosphere, the immersion, it's all there.
