@vega2505: To be fair Mass Effect 3 deserves praise. Up until the last few minutes I thought it was an excellent game.
You're not wrong though.... I'm not gonna spend money to activist writers and activist developers who only see this franchise as an opportunity to impose political statements, and beat us over the head with a flurry of "phobia's" or "ism's" if we so much as question it. No thanks.
As much as I'd love to see a continuation of the original trilogy (even Andromeda), I find it very hard to get my hopes up. The only things that that matter now are "social focused" as well as imposing political ideologies where we end up beaten over the head with a flurry of "ism's" or "phobia's" if we so much as question it. The "new way of storytelling" we keep hearing about is nothing but "live service" (i.e, watered down, online only) crap where they'll drip feed content over months or years instead of quality single player experiences that made Bioware so great.
@hordicus: I pity anyone who pre-orders, period. One search on youtube like "stop pre ordering video games" and you'll see plenty of well-known channels explaining why
I don't understand all the hate? I don't know too much about Capcom, but are people seriously upset because there's not a shinier gimmick to trick you into pre-ordering?
Better to have a higher difficulty (something anyone else could unlock through playing), than to actually cut content from the game specifically to gain pre-orders. Although time will tell if that mentioned "special item" will be significant and/or available post-release, props to Capcom for not making extremely arrogant attempts at pre-release "bonuses" - unlike most games today. I'll be buying RE7 based on how good it is and how much content is actually in-game. Now there's an even bigger chance I'll buy it day one.
Nice to see a game delve into WW1 for once, especially so since many wanted a refreshment from modern timeline. But I hope this doesn't start a new trend for one-sided timelines in the other direction (it wasn't too long ago where nearly ALL shooters were WW2 based - not fun). Diversity is key.
