It's supposed to stand for freedom. I myself don't mind the new setting for ACIII. I'm glad a little of my country's history is being put into a video game. And the Revolutionary era is one of my favorite periods in time, mostly because the clothes were awesome, lol.
But I don't know why this is such an issue with some people. We've been to the Italian Renaissance, Constantinople, and the Holy Lands... why not the Americas? I haven't once complained about the series being in other settings, I actually enjoyed it. But once they decide to bring the series to the Americas it's "who gives a f*ck about Washington".
For the record, I don't expect everyone to bow down to me because I'm an American, as you might suggest, although I am happy and proud to be one, just as you share the same pride and sentiment for your heritage. Do I know who your forefathers were? No, probably not. Do I genuinely care who they were? No, probably not. But I at least try to respect other peoples backgrounds by not bad-mouthing their forefathers.
They'll make a game like this but they won't make a true Jedi Knight game or a tertiary Battlefront. Yeah... let's focus on making Star Wars games about bounty hunters and their story of survival in a deep, deep Coruscant ghetto.
I really wouldn't mind getting to play a Star Wars game like this eventually, it's just that a true 3rd-person action-adventure free-roam Star Wars game revolving Jedis and the force has not yet been made. And that turn-based fighting crap doesn't count.
Glad to see bikes make a return. I want things back to the way they were in SA. Gyms. Businesses. Shooting ranges. Tons of clothes, tattoos, and hairstyles. Gang wars. Car modding shops. Stadium and street racing. Stats and upgrades for your characters skills. And earning guns for your hideout! Oh yes, and let's not forget becoming the boss!
