It looks good, but with Ubisoft, they are always quick off the bat to launch with new technology, and at best their experiments have been a mixed blessing. I'd like to play it myself before I get hyped for it.

I dont believe the developers are wanting to continue working on Batman titles now. I can understand why that is (wanting to try something new/ new challenges), so I can only hope that they aren't tasked with re-creating that success again. If there were a new Batman title, I'd like a smaller space, something more intimate. Arkham Asylum did wonders there - perhaps a return to it?

In terms of having an impact - Wii Sports really shook up the industry. Led to heaps of clones, even MS and Sony decided to become part of the action years later. That changed and influenced gaming throughout the entire gen. As for groundbreaking - I thought Rock Band was really amazing. It's still amazing to play along with friends, and it was pretty groundbreaking in a way that was opened by Guitar Hero - but made even bigger by EA. The same could be said for Dance Central, which is truly excellent and a great marriage of technology, innovation and fun.

Maybe it's just MS securing the rights of a name which they may or may not use. Someone using it in bad faith or just address holding is just waiting for a corporation to take it. It could even have something to do with the UI for the next console. Im not banking on a Xbox 720 name, but neither do I think it will be a Xbox 8.

Just so you know, the 8GB install is only required for multiplayer. Also, you should note that while an optimal experience would see the player install the entire title, this isn't mandatory. To start playing you dont need a install at all. As for why they require it for multiplayer, it has been stated that it is to help with the weekly episodic downloadable content. Yes - the game is getting a lot of post release content for multiplayer, and Spartan Ops is a new to the series experience that is looking forward rather than behind. It's a brave decision on their part, and it's nice to see the developer attempting to make something new and enjoyable for the fans. If you are wanting to keep playing the same thing, stick with the same game.

[QUOTE="Sagacious_Tien"]Sadly, there has been a dearth of JRPG's this gen.famicommander
Not if you have a DS and PSP.

Oh - you're right. I forgot about that. In that case - I can strongly recommend The World Ends With You and the Mario and Luigi titles.

Perhaps they aren't so much looking to integrate Gaikai into the Playstation Network, but utilise the technology and research behind it to further their gains in the industry. Or perhaps it was another outlet for them to try in PC/ social gaming? Either way - its an investment in the future of the business, so regardless of how badly their business is going financially, they are planning on being around for a long time.
