Which chest should i open for the adept Asari? Been playing for two days like a crazy mofo and she's still not unlocked. Tired of Singularity+Warp, i want Stasis+Warp naooo (much much better for Gold too)silversix_

The Veteran Packs usually have a good chance to give out new weapons and races for the classes, at least in my experience. That's how I got my Asari Adept.

Obviously, a day one buy for me. Now it's just matter of figuring out which characters I will try to learn. Chie is a definite. Naoto's playstyle intrigues me so I might try her as well.

It's not that they're bad. They're just underwhelming compared to other classes until later in the game. As far as debuffs go, they're slightly useful in the beginning but aren't that useful in the long run because the other classes/builds can do what they do pretty well, even without debuffing enemies. And as far as crowd control goes, Pinning Shot holds an enemy in place but it instantly wears off the moment they're attacked so it's uses are limited. That leaves you with Scattershot, which does good crowd control but can't be gotten until level 14ish. Arrow of Slaying is one of the most powerful talents/spells in the game, capable of doing 1000+ damage in a single shot but again, locked out until level 14ish.

Since it's your first playthrough, I'd recommend Mage. An Archer can be a bit of a late bloomer in comparison to the other builds. Also, while the archery tree has some talents for blasting away at people from afar, it's mostly focused on debuffs and crowd control overall such as Pinning Shot to keep an enemy stuck in place for a short time, a shattering shot to lower an enemies armor rating, a scatter shot that stuns everyone in a large proximity, etc.

If you're having trouble, the best way to deal with this fight is to summon Solaire. His summon sign can be found in the room with the white veil leading to the boss battle on the stairs opposite of the one you enter the room from. Taking them on with Solaire turns this into a straight forward 1 vs 1 battle. Solaire takes one, you take the other.

Did anyone else find the IGN review rather short? I mean, I know that they don't usually give very in-depth reviews, but this one was even less-so than normal.

It does feel like they just glanced over it but they did cover most of the major points so fair enough.
