While normally any hint of casualization would be a turn-off, this game's mechanics desperately need a shakeup. To anyone but the most hardcore, Ryu has been playing the same way with the same basic moves and controls for 25(!) years now. Think of how Nintendo did Mario 64 - same character but brand new more impressive yet familiar moveset in a new dimension.
The sad fact is, both gamers and game reviewers expect multiplayer in modern AAA releases or they whine to high heaven and trash a good single player only game like they did The Order 1886 because it's "too short" and "single player only".
