The poem in your first post was pretty good. A few extra words, and punctuation errors. Nevertheless, it had a good flow that you maintained for the majority of the piece and I enjoyed it. Some of the rythmes kept an almost perfect flow.

Hope wasn't as good in my opinion, but I still enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed that piece, but I do have one complaint. You build up this 'futuristic' world where computers assist you with your morning hygene and talk to you. Then you say something like this ...

filled elevator, and pressed the button for floor 369. Patrick was glad he was tall. He got claustrophobic extremely easy and hated riding up an elevator for 20 minutes.honkyjoe

This was a slight incoherancy, not the end of the world - but I noticed it. In current day, it takes about a minute or two (at the very most) to get to the top of the of the 147 story C.N Tower. Now in a futuristic world, I had the feeling that the ride would be a lot shorter and you would've said something like ...

.. and pressed the button for floor 369. Patrick was tall, but still got claustrophobic easily and hated being cramped in elevators. But he could bear the few minutes in an elevator.

Now that isn't perfect, not anywhere as good as you wrote, but I hope you get my point.

Overall, the entire piece was good to read and I look forward to the next part :)

Someone has to update this. Flash determine last winner. New Caption. Well this one was the first caption ever used ... assuming my memory is still in tact ...

Off topic hooray!

On a similar off topic note,  why the hell is no one posting in the Electric Castle yet?!

Aberinkulas

I wanted to, but only saw it as I was getting offline. I'll probably look more at it later tonight.

As for this topic .. well at least one of my ideas was useful.

Well firstly, I can vouch for meleeman. Secondly, thats a fair statement and there is no sense in arguing. We understand each other completely, but share entirely different views. I think those things are to be expected of the best WL because they provide you with something you cannot get elsewhere. I think that once you have a good idea, it should be kept and maintained as best as possible. You agree with the latter statement, but feel that it is done out of the goodness of someone's heart for the sake of the union. That maybe true, I might be right, who knows, but our points are the exact opposite. There is no more middle ground on this specific topic.

Fair enough. This was merely a recommendation, take the parts that ya'll like and toss the parts you don't.

If you do not give 30 minutes a week to it ... well then, you shouldn't be officer.

You know, it's not so much a question of how much time to spend on officer duties, but asking people to be timely. That's what I'm referring to when I talk about lack of time. Also, the end result if officers start getting removed is... barely any officers. And that doesn't work in anyone's favor, now does it?

iloveflash

Hyper isn't banned. he left. Melee is here all the time, he just doesn't post (I know cause I talk to him on AIM almost daily). Ether is online and if he has a job to do, statically from when I was leader .. he was one of the most reliable people. Helios, while I'm not sure of his current situatio, I'm sure that he can contribute.

Asking people to be timely? I have said multiple times. Now if we talk about each individual thing. A week is manuevrable, it can be 10 days, it can be 4 days - like I said, its up to the officer. Now writing challenges, (the weekly ones) okay post them in 6 days or 8, thats cool, but be weekly (or as close as possible). Some element of being timely is necessary, but it is not like I am saying 6 am EST on Sunday January 25th, do dun dun da ... no instead I am saying, do it at your pace, do it your own way, but this is the objective that we should achieve.

No having no officeres does not work in peoples favour. But now where did I say lets remove them? If there are legitimate reasons, sure I am not going to want you to be punished because of that. It wouldn't be fair. But let me ask you this, having a bunch of officers doing nothing, does that work in anyone's favour?
