So, it is kind of necessary?CloudRainy
For some games it seems like it is that way ... for others, not so much

[QUOTE="Rookie395"]

can someone explain what game installs are ...

craigalan23

You install a game to your HD but you need the disc to be in to play it. It reduces heat and disc drive has to work less so it's good for the drive and disc. It also makes your xbox 360 quieter.

and how much space does this take up .. like generally on a game by game basis?

Basically...you might need the adapter like the guy said, you might need extra controllers like the other guy said, and you'll want Live like you said. But uhm, aside from that sort of thing, the money ripping off doesn't start till microtransactions buying things off the Live service.irmeleeman5995
Thats what I was concerned about ... the ripping off .. what should I expect? and where?

Aside from extra controllers and stuff you need GAMEFLY if you don't plan on buying every single game that comes out. It's like $14.99 a month to have one game out for as long as you want. They have other packages and if you are into movies get NETFLIX it's like $8.99 a month.OG_BiG_Munny
More concerned as to what I have to pay for. I've heard grumblings among my friends about having to pay for this and that ,... other than live, is there anything I have to pay for like to use it online (other than games, but thats obvious)
