Hey, it's 07/05/07 and nothing new yet. But I think it's obvious that this server is a log from the Reclaimer that first activated Halo. The reset is the system preparing to fire again. He says "millions have died" that can't possibly be from the activation of Halo as that would kill billions, if not trillions, these millions must have been from a conventional war with the Flood. The antithesis to life is the Flood.

Also, the Covenant doesn't speak a derivative of Latin, that Forerunner Sentinel on Onyx spoke Latin. And I believe that it called it a "base language", in other words, the root of English which that SPARTAN-III was speaking.

Probably not, the tagline for Halo 3 is "Finish the Fight" so they'll really make people mad if it's not conclusive.

Personally I loved the ending, cliffhangers make the next installment so much more fullfilling. I loved Halo 2, better than Halo: CE in pretty much every way. If Bungie thinks they screwed up on it and have learned from their mistakes then Halo 3 will be the purest package of concentrated entertainment in human history.

Also, I don't get why people hate the Arbiter so much. If you don't like him then skip the cutscenes, moron, you'll barely notice the difference. I know it's kind of annoying to have dark missions and no light but suck-up cry-baby, you have a fricking active camo device. Plus he's an Elite (Elites are cool like Spartans if you're not a xenocentric bastard) who facilitates the Great Schism, giving the UNSC at least some hope of winning.

Halo: CE was a Sci-Fi military action horror. The only reason you were fighting the Covenant was so you would have a reason to be on this ring with the Flood. Halo 2 was much more epic in scope, you were fighting the Covenant because they were going to comit xenocide on the humans (us!!!). So, people who think Halo 2 was worse and hate the Arbiter don't appreciate a good story.
