First off remember, HALO3 SPOILERS W/O WARNING = BAN and there is a sticky for Halo 3's review of a 9.5 if you want to talk about that go there.
Lots of you already have Halo3 and since this is the Halo3 thread go ahead andtalk aboutit here but leave ANY SPOILERS OUT UNLESS THERE IS WANRING! I don't like to but for the sake of all of us who don't want spoilers the mods will becontacted.Can't emphasise that enough alot of us don't want it ruined and I hope all you guys are having fun and congrats as to getting it. Post and tell me if anything is wrong this is everything I know meaning I am missing probably a good load of things so post it and help me fix this up plus talk about the game anything that is Halo related is allowed even if you want to bring up Halo Wars go ahead.
Ok this first section is for people who don't really know what Halo is so Halo fans and people who have played it feel free to skip this part. Halo is a first person shooter where you play Master Chief who is a person who was trained through grueling tests as a kid to be a battle master. Earth is at war with an alien race called the Covenant who has finnally found Earth in Halo2. Now aftercountless battles the Covenant has taken Earth and is at Civil war between the brutes and their followers and the Elites and their followers who have sided with us. In Halo3 you will fight alongside the elites to help take the Earth back. There is also an alien race known as the flood which is where Halo comes in. Halo is their prison cell esentially have if the flood escapes the halo rings activate to kill everything withing 10,000 lightyears. How this will take into account on Earth in Halo3 we are yet to find out but it should be interesting.
This is the second section which is where all the Halo information is.
Characters
There are 4 characters that you can play in co-op and as far as we know they are Master Chief, The Arbiter, and according to wikipedia N'Tho 'Srarom, and Usze 'Taham two elites. Other Characters include Seargent Johnson, Miranda Keyes, Cortana, and the Covenant leaders.
Enemies
Enimies in this game include Brutes, possibly a few elites,drones, hunters, if there are elites then grunts, and a few new ones possibly.
Weapons
There are some new weapons thrown into this one we haven't seen before as well as old ones. There is the Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Magnum, Sniper Rife, Beam Rifle,Carbine, Gun Turret, Missle Pod, Rocket Launcher, Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle, Needler, Spartan Lazer, Falmethrower, Sword, Brute Hammer,Brute Shot, and Shotgun. There are then 3 grenades, frag, plama, and brute.I believe that is it as far as weapons go.
Vehicles
Halo3 is bringing some new vehicles to the game as well as all the old ones. We still have our old Warthog(now with detachable turret), Banshee, Ghost, Tank, Wraith,and then some new ones, Mongoose basically a small ATV to get around places, there is the Brute Chopper which is basically a vehicle destoyer, and Brute Prowler basically the Brute Warthog. Then finally the beast of all vehicles, The Elephant. It is esentially a drivable mobile base with anti air gunsand a stationed mongoose inside and can also lift 2 mongooses, a Warthog, a tank, and 12 infantry.
Multiplayer
Same things as last game apply except now there is equipment such as the bubble shield,power downwhich just kills peopls shields, grav lift, and mine. There is 9 announced maps which may someone post for me I only know Snowbound, and the other two that were in the beta. There is also a whole new level system which goes up by winning and down by getting booted for team killing. You can now also save game films and send them to your friends or watch again. There is also going to be 4 player online and offline co-op where offline it's only 2 people. I probably missed some new stuff so once again someone please post what I missed and I'll put it up.
Campaign
There are 9 missions to the campaign, Landfall, Holdout, The Road, Assault, Cleansing, Refuge, Last Stand, The Key, and Return. There will also be a meta campaign where the player goes through getting as many points as they can gaining points from finding skulls and killing enimies and losing points from dying.
So this is everything I know about Halo3 and I know I'm missing alot so I'm going to leave it to you guys to post it here for me to fix and to talk about the game what you want, hope for, expect, and have fun.
