@quinnd6: what about death loop? that looks pretty sweet to me. dishonored in a new jacket with a new universe and story. i doubt it's exclusive though, if such a thing is important to you (it isn't to me).

@systemoverload: i know some people are always hyped about new consoles releasing, but for me it's all about the games. i won't buy any new console unless it has a game i really want to play and i'm assuming that will be around the end of '21, beginning of '22, just like it was with the ps4 and Bloodborne (about a year after the release of the ps4).

Makes sense that this speaks to a lot of people. You play as samurai, it's open world and it's accessible. Bloodborne was far more hardcore in its gameplay and was thematically very dark and gloomy. Days gone i'm not sure about, as i was never interested in playing it, but it looked to me like a game that would sell well. Not sure what happened there.

wow, pouring it out huh? nice review! i agree with some of the pacing issues for 2nd and 3rd playthroughs, but for the 1st playthrough the pace just seemed perfect to me. i also liked the ending and the part where you play as Ellie in California. the final boss fight was so tough for me on an emotional level.

i also agree that Abby's half of the game is a little better, she has stronger incentives to do what she does than Ellie and gameplay-wise her half is just way more fun, because Ellie still has the tutorial/introduction-to-the-game part with a maximum of 5 enemies (per encounter) in the first 10 hours and Abby has bigger encounters right off the start.

this might be a personal thing but i think the only true mode to play this game is survivor at the moment. i did my first playthrough on hard and the game was incredibly forgiving no matter how much i f'd up. survivor difficulty felt muuuuuuch better in that regard and it really helps the gameworld if the game is actually hard and actually trying to kill you.

i also needed 49 hours, almost 50, for my first playthrough, but i needed almost as much for my second as well.

so, basically no singleplayer dlc, that's a shame. i hope no one spends money on something you can unlock by playing. i had everything unlocked within a week of playing. just saying.

resistance was really cool and very balanced when the game was released. but it seems the masterminds are pretty OP at the moment. last weekend i played a couple of games and we only managed to win against new mastermind players. anything above rank 40 simply destroyed us, without there being much we could have done (we even communicated on mic). the connection is also a big problem, the mastermind is always the host so he can do everything in real time while i sometimes shoot a zombie 3 times with a shotgun and he shows no reaction (nor damage!) and proceeds to bite me as if i was just standing still. shame how it is right now, the basic idea of the game is a lot of fun!

@good_coop89: i agree! or those minimaps that are basically saying "i know this game looks pretty sweet, but for you as a gamer it is much handier to just focus on that little circle in the top right the whole time and ignore 95% of the actual game screen"

@dmblum1799: i was about to comment the same. aliens are one thing, but the USA's incompetence is certainly a fact at the moment. of course this doesn't apply to all people in the USA (and it also doesn't apply to the USA alone). most of the people i'm in contact with do use masks and take the pandemic seriously.

the saddest thing about the US right now is that there is an actual realistic chance of that dude getting re-elected.
