I find it hysterical how all of the X1 fanboys were just over at the review for Fantasia saying the X1 > PS4 because Drive Club sucked and Fantasia was amazing...well, here's an X1 game that has one of the lowest scores of the year...let the back and forth continue haha.
Bayonetta is basically an extremely oversexualized version of Darksiders, but with moronic storytelling and lots and lots of LSD and caffeine. I see zero reason to get it
@nothingformoney @yourlastlight this really has been a great game for PC gaming, though I don't think there's been a bad one in like 7 years. I just see zero reason to go buy a shitty Nintendo console just to play a handful of decent games when I could just buy Borderlands The Presequal and do this thing called playing with friends that Nintendo forget exists in any of their games other than Mario Kart. Also, my friends and I just got Project M working on our computers =D
@bunchanumbers I'm not saying that there aren't good WiiU games out there, I'm saying that Nintendo gets extra points for being Nintendo and they make bullshit console hardware and controllers that turn simple gameplay into an obnoxiously complex endeavor. I would consider going Nintendo again if they made a normal effin controller and a console with specs that are at least par for the generation rather than a whole gen behind.
@sexyragu I did play the first...I wasn't terribly impressed. I mean, it wasn't a bad game or anything, I just found it super strange and a bit creepy.
I feel like this only got a 10/10 due to the extremely underwhelming lineup from Nintendo lately that causes good titles to seem mind-blowing. Also, Nintendo games get a pass on coherent storytelling because...Nintendo. I would be interested in picking this up for myself, but that would mean I would have to buy a monstrosity known as a Nintendo console. Maybe one day this will be on an emulator and I can play it with a real controller.
@wolfman8325 No, a 6 is about right. It has one of the worst put together stories in a AAA title in years. Literally nobody even knows what the game is even about. I've beaten the game and I still have no idea what is happening in the game other than darkness = bad...shooty shooty shooty...LOOT! It's an origins story to set up a franchise, but it has zero character development and zero narrative and setting up the story world, things an origins story HAS to have. We know nothing about our character, about the Guardians, about The Traveler, about space travel, or about any of the alien species'. They literally just ripped out the point of the game and left a shiny game that sends you off on pointless missions. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the game, but it is definitely not worth anything other than a 6.
No EA Sports game should ever be getting above a 6.0 rating, PERIOD. They're probably the biggest scam in the gaming world and each new version is so identical to the last that reviewers start picking out the most minute details to focus on. Unless they added something absolutely mind-blowing this time around, and 8.0 is completely ridiculous. You give new IPs low ratings due to unoriginality and one of the most recycled games on the market a gold star. EA Sports games contribute a grand total of 0 to the artistic, technical, mechanical, narrative, or entertainment value advancement of the gaming community. They are the Apple products of the gaming world. Rich people drop a bunch of money every year on them to buy the latest one that has new features more fitting for an update or downloadable content than a whole new product. Why do they do this? Because the company who makes the product tells them too...that and makes them feel so obsolete with their old version that they just HAVE to buy the next one. I mean JUST LOOK AT YOUR PROS LIST FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Your top bullet point is literally "New goalkeeper animations add diversity and visual flair". That's the most pathetic main selling point for a game I have ever seen. Annual sports games are a blight on the industry and should not be supported, especially not by a professional video game website. Sports games should come out every 5 years and offer DLC for updated rosters every new year for $5-10 and FREE additions of things like freakin goalkeeper animations. Refuse to support their scam or they will just keep milking all you suckers.
