But yeah if you go to old SW pages, its quite a different time then today, it seems like people are too afraid of moderation or something to try some more riske' topics, and go for the generic: lol RROD or P$3

It can be quite nostalgic to those of us who remember SW back in the day. Posters were more daring, and there were more worthwhile threads and discussions. However, when you have multiple things working against it, like harsher mods and moderations, memorable posters getting the boot/leaving, more and more rules that get progressively stupider, the board loses almost all of its appeal. SW was originally meant to be a dumping ground for the scum of GS, but now it's arguably the most civilized board due to harsh enforcement. The GD is more like the old SW than the current SW is.Verge_6
I can see harsher moderations having an effect. It's funny, SW is and has always been a dumping ground. And yet back then, even the obvious troll threads pulled in good debaters (i remember some of the PSP FTW threads). The board may have become more civilised because of rules and yet actual 'civilisation' has diminished? :?
I'm getting bored of the place too. These days it's the same crap over and over- sales this, Uncharted that, Halo that, blahblahblah, etc. I can't remember the last time someone made an interesting, original thread.Floppy_Jim
TBH it seems pretty much every board besides the OT board has seen better days. I used to post all the time in the Wii, PSP, Legacy Platforms and DS boards but they've all pretty much flatlined. SW is still "alive" but not kicking.-Oath
Could it be a sign of the times? In other words, the period when there was a worthwhile discussion like the console launch period.
And erm... yeah, there's a lot to do. I'll leave this link here if anyone feels the need to try and 'complete' island flyover and is having difficulties.
I was looking back in my posting history and i spotted one of my earliest SW postings. And it was EPIC.
Vandalvideo, Foaming Panda clashing against me and metrovania (who's he?)... man! The debates were a battlefield!
I was having fun actually. I knew SW has pretty much died now but i didn't think it died to the point where i no longer debated or have fun in doing so (and yet i still post there).
Anyway, i just thought it may be some good reading and may spark up some good discussion 2 and half years on. Jandurin and Ontain had posted in it actually...
P.S. My prediction in this thread was right on (MS and Sony going the motion route).
So he first became some power cables, then transformed into a backhoe where he cleared the way for some cement so he could throw a party with 5 12 packs of coke and a weaved basket for his Dad. After he was done with his transformation of a backhoe he turned into a grey shirt and sided with the damn decepticons who decided to furnish their house with some ivory color shelving. Then he took over a host body and tossed a kid across the room into a chair, which was clearly out of rage since the folded laundry wasn't put away. Then there is a picture of a apartment complex for some reason, not sure what that is doing there because it doesn't fit his modus operandi...spinecaton

Woah, what happened? You have to be careful. We don't want to lose more GUFU members. Also, some people can hold a grudge, particularly in SW and would report you for even the smallest of things. It seems SolidTY is having some of these moderation issues himself recently (it popd up in my feeds).
