I get what you're talking about as far as lasting appeal, i've spent way more time in counterstrike or starcraft then, lets say, bioshock. But you're talking about two different kinds of games. Some games are made to be intellectually challenging or to make some kind of social commentary and the discussion that surrounds them is worth far more than the 8 hours it takes to get through their story. 

EDIT: You're profile picture is of half-life 2, a heavily story driven game that takes probably 10 hours to get through, and yet one of the greatest games in history

Watching the first 30 minutes all I could think about was how utterly devoid of colour this game is. If you just scroll through the thumbnails of videos for this game on youtube you won't find a shred of blue, or green or any vibrant colour at all. I'm not asking this game to be viva pinata but at least in GoW III his weapons and clothing and certain enemies  had some colour to them

If you look at games like Dark Souls or Ico they have much better box art on japanese and european copies of the game. I was just wondering why a publisher would use different box art? What's the danger of using the same box art world wide?

My favourite moment has to be when I was tagging all the enemies in an outpost and right before going in a black bear just wandered in and mauled everybody. I got an undetected bonus for clearing it and i just sat there watching this bear who was obviously way more skilled than me haha

I'm just about to finish act III on nightmare difficulty and I realized that ever since restarting the game I've been getting awful drops. Before I beat normal mode I was wearing all rare/legendary equipment and on nightmare I've gotten maybe 4-5 rares. My magic find isn't any lower, its about 30%, did they program it so that you get crappier items on harder difficulties? Because that doesn't make any sense.

I know i could find the answer to this somewhere but im a little confused on the specifics. I have an EVGA GTX 465 and i want to run SLI, do i need another 465? I know there is no such thing as a gtx 565 yet, but lets say there was, could i run that along with my 465? I'm asking because i cant find another gtx 465 anywhere, could i use perhaps a 470? I know they have a similar bus. Any help is appreciated

To say that everything requires a "beginning" implies the existance of time. God is outside of time, also before the "big bang" there was nothing, which means there was no time either, so the argument fails in that manner too

Silos911 youre a life saver! And gmaster i havent played stardust but im not expecting much out of it, actually i didnt even choose stardust anyway so i guess that doesnt matter. The other 2 ive played, wipeout wasn't even good when it was on the pc or the n64 later, it only did decent on the psn cause it was in HD and in 2007 everyone was blown away by 1080p games, dead nation on the other hand is just a mediocre zombie shooter

When i went into the welcome back menu i selected free game 1 or whatever and pressed "get now" and when it gave me the selection i didnt know which game i actually wanted (i already have infamous and lbp and the rest were garbage) so i left the screen and then a day after i did the free game 2 thing and started downloading wipeout but i cant get the first game anymore, the "free ps3 game 1" doesnt even exist anymore in that menu, anyone else had this problem? A workaround perhaps? I dont really want to snaked out of a game. Even though its free...
