lmao yeah you cant play much. Well anything made after 2005 at least. Not necessarily a bad thing, if your running xp theres a lot of fantastic old games you can play, somone mentioned quite a few fantastic ones up there, dialbo 2, baldurs gate, grim fandango, dont know if anyone said planescape
Bad Company 2 is solid, but they made a lot of really stupid design choices (see: Atacama Desert) if your looking for classics TF2 is really good, has quite a lasting appeal and its pretty cheap right now. A lot of people seem to like call of duty... i sorta avoid activision though all together. Lately there hasnt been all that much, Crysis 2 is great but only after you can get past the bugs. Personally i just stay away from the FPS genre, no game is unique enough to compensate for the price nowadays
I think they're more for collectors than anything. The thing is those commercial guides cant put in exploits or bugs and things like that you discover playing games like dragon age and mass effect so frankly i think an online guide like on GameFAQs is much more helpful, plus those prima guide cost a lot!
Shogun 2 is the best total war by far. Loved the setting, loved the campaign and the strategy was at the brilliant peak thats to be expected from a total war game and then some
Wait, the lowest its ever been is 30 fps? you really shouldnt be comlaining with something like that, unless your benchmarking or something. 30 fps is what most people shoot for, you cant even really notice a difference between 40 and 60
I think microsoft just decided that since steam is dominating PC games, that it doesnt really have any need to make games for windows anymore. And have you ever played a game on Games for Windows Live? It BLOWS. Every problem dawn of war II has ever had with its multiplayer can be directly traced back to GFWL.

It does leave a bitter taste in the mouth that's for sure, I am not getting hyped for Crysis 2 since I am not overly convinced it will come to the PC. I can see them delaying the PC version by 6 - 8 months to concentrate on getting the game out for the console. I faithfully supported Crytek with Farcry, Crysis and Warhead and my reward is "a console port from now on". I am afraid gamespot does not allow me to use the appropriate language to express how much I despise Crytek right now.
