What's your favorite shooter to play competitively other than Counter-Strike, which seems to be one of the "go-to" PC competitive online games.

For me (lol @ my sig), Quake Live. Other than that (I know it's not on PC, shhhh) KillZone 3.

I find competitive TF2 quite fun. It is a different experience than normal pubbing. Bad COmpany 2 is pretty good as well.

Bad Company 2 is probably my favorite competitive shooter on the PC.

Bad Company 2 is solid, but they made a lot of really stupid design choices (see: Atacama Desert) if your looking for classics TF2 is really good, has quite a lasting appeal and its pretty cheap right now. A lot of people seem to like call of duty... i sorta avoid activision though all together. Lately there hasnt been all that much, Crysis 2 is great but only after you can get past the bugs. Personally i just stay away from the FPS genre, no game is unique enough to compensate for the price nowadays

Quake Live is the definitive competitve FPS on PC. You really don't have many competitive PC shooters, competitive PC games are mostly strategy games. I've heard CoD4 on PC is somewhat competitive also.

AFAIK COD4 had a large competetive community for a long while. These days, not so much.

I think a few people need to remember: Competitive is where competition, leagues, and pro/semi-pro gameplay occur. Bad Company 2 while popular and full of challenge, has almost NO competitive leagues or competitions ever going on. Just some clans who own servers. Id say for truly competitive play it would be BF2 (not so much anymore), CS1.6, CS:S, TF:2, Quake3/live older COD games (even blackops has almost no competitive play).
