although it is a shame that the game was released in such an abysmal shape for the previous generation of consoles, this game will have a longer lifespan than a year... i reckon cdpr aimed for a game that would still look and feel fresh in the coming years, as they did with witcher 3, which has been updated for the current gen consoles and hardware...
that being said, cdpr shouldn't have released the game on ps4 and xbox one, since even the most powerful variants of these consoles struggle with the game...
i will definitely play this game when its next generation console versions are released though...
what i don't understand is: there is a ps4 version of the game which you can buy for 60 usd; there is an upgrade version for ps4 and ps5 for 70 usd, there is an ultimate version for ps4 and ps5 for 90 usd, but there isn't an only ps5 version, which does seem to be a quite stupid choice...
@deth420:tell me about it, there is an additional 50% customs tax to "select" items, which make up about 80% of imports to the country until further notice...
so, long story short these are the taxes we have to pay for a console at the moment:
50% customs tax
20% luxury item tax (since a console is a luxury item)
18% value added tax
which combine to a whopping 100% (cost of the item) + 112,4% (tax) = 212,4% price... :)
i live in turkey and due to our momentarily f'd up economy and pandemic tax increases, we do have to pay around 1.100 usd for the ps5 or xbox series x officially, it blows...
@Mozelleple112: that is the common phrase to use in the ps4 - xbox one era, it was the other way round during the ps3 - xbox 360 era, just pulling people's legs... :D
