i remember being quite overwhelmed the moment i started playing burnout paradise since it was the first open world racing game i played... but my first impression didn't last and i had a blast with the game and it's add-ons, it is still a game that holds a special place in my memory, kudos to the developers, as far as i know some of whom created the forza horizon series...
so, understating a mammoth acquisition and offering limited time availability of some and not all titles of the bought company is ok for the sake of closing the deal...
although i find such acquisitions ok and maybe necessary for a boost of a platform for a short period of time, they also offer other smaller or newly formed companies (or the founders of the bought company to move on to another) to shine due to the fact that they have more freedom in developing process, nevertheless it does cost an arm and a leg to publish a polished title and timed exclusivity may be a better road for the consumers and the platform holders...
@daidochus: actually this seems to be a quite clever move from sony, release a previous gen console game optimized for pc right around the time the sequel will be released for the current gen console, if people like the game a lot they might invest in a console not to wait for three or more years...
we'll see if it worked... :)
edit: btw god of war is a stellar game, i realized i didn't include this before... :D
there is no raid without tony jaa and beyond that it has already been made into a judge dredd movie... michael bay is also not a good fit imho, he'll turn the movie into an explosion fest...
having bought and finished the game on ps3, i repurchased it on ps4 thinking i'll do it again, which i never did, and this time i will not make the same mistake... :)
